So far we've got a few really good ideas between us all.

There's gonna be a couple indica hybrids, some for flavor and some for time/density

And then a couple sativa hybrids, those are where we spend a lot of time, so we're gonna be breeding it to be outdoor and early season friendly while retaining the high and flavor. We have a lot of varieties to work with.

And there will be at least one crossing to another landrace sativa. Thats gonna be fun :)

Hell Yeah, Greenluv707 and Momerath. Cali is in need of a good seed company that can distribute high quality, diverse genetics.
Are there any plans to make LMS available at dispensaries?

Trinity county is so fucking outlaw...I spent a minute up there this fall...Insane volcano wrestling territory

As far as crosses...do you have that Cali Lemon Thai or the Pineapple Thai? C99, Jack Herer, Chem 91, Mendo Purp, any haze (Tom Hill?), Green Crack...any cross seems promising with a thai dude.
Keep us informed.

Oh yeah, like mentioned earlier, TRAINWRECK x Choc Thai...oh yeah...
Did I mention?
Oh yeah, Trainwreck

Who said something about some Trainwreck thai?

The buzz is hot...launching a company is all about pleasing the customer...so Trainwreck Thai it is!

Any idea when we could see this Choco Thai seeds in production?

Would absolutely love to see this strain stabilized (no hermy tendencies), with the flowering time, high, structure etc all staying the same. If the person who worked with it got it down to 10 weeks, that's outstanding for a Thai. If you ask me I don't think the flowering time should be tampered with.

I'm sure it being the True Chocolate Thai without the hermy, you would have TONS of potential buyers. Just because of the Chocolate Thai name.

@OP - Have you ever gotten any phenos that have typical sativa structure leaves but have little light green specs all over the leaves? Reason why I ask is I have a Chocolope plant right now that's either a mutant or showing strong OG Chocolate Thai genetics. The leaves are a wonderfully darkish green color, but they have tons of little green specs all over them. I can tell it's definitely in the genetics and not a nutrient def because she's pretty healthy. It's truly interesting to see up close. Also, 3 of her sisters were flowered and none had this same trait, and this trait shows itself under most forms of lighting(haven't tried them all). Interested if anything like this has shown up in your genetic pool??

Anyways, if these ever become available without the hermy tendencies I'll definitely be in line! Would love to have these genetics in my gene pool :)

Will be watching!

Congrats greenluv707 on securing the Chocolate Thai :good: awesome news indeed
Can't wait to see the CT growing and to see what killer crosses you come up with :D
Maybe have a think about some Bros Grimm C99 as a potential dad for the Choc Thai, could be something special :smoke out:
Once again congrats on getting hold of such an Old School Genetic

Sweetness! These sound absolutely amazing, hoping someday I'll have these genetics in my garden!

Now for possible crosses, I think it would be nice to see a '86CT x C99 cross, like many others I think that would turn out to be a wonderful plant.

I also think '86CT x PCK, or another landrace indica would be nice to see as well. This would help outdoor growers with frost in the fall season, also looking at good hybrid growth. Better adaptability to indoors, etc etc. One thing about PCK as the landrace indica would be the plethora of colors that the PCK genes bring to the table.

I think for commercial growers '86CT x AK47 or something along those lines would be nice. I personally wouldn't be interested in something like this, but I can only imagine how many people would want Chocolate Thai crossed to AK47, White widow, OG Kush or something along those lines. Something high yield and very resinous could make this stellar.

Last but not least, to reach out to even more buyers I would cross this to a nice autoflowering strain. I personally have no experience or research in this department, but I would bet people would go for this as well. I guess Lowrider is a popular strain by demand.

So in total, I would like to see:

- Original '86 Chocolate Thai
- '86CT x Bros Grimm C99
- '86CT x AK47(or another high resin heavy yielding strain)
- '86CT x Lowrider(or another autoflowering plant)

I think for the general population this would cover a very good range and you'd have many potential buyers. The only problem would be supplying enough beans! :bigeye:

Any idea when we can see these beans hit the market?

Highgrade seeds kinda did this with their "Purple Cindy," though they used OPT instead of CT. Great genetics nonetheless. I accidentally cracked a bean, so I planted it Aug in a 16 oz cup. Thing was pure black. No purple at all, never was...just mildly spicy blackness. Sticky. Had one of those khaki/bleached leaves like some of the old CT I used to get. Obviously, it needed more time. No lights at the time, so no cut, but got the rest of the beans.
