is it just me, or does the high from vapeing not last long?

In my experiences, my vape high seems to have more of a longevity than smoking does. Then again, every time I combust it tastes like utter shit and makes me want to go to sleep. Also, which method have you been using with your EQ? Strictly bags? Whip? Direct Draw? I ask this because each one provides a different vapor to air ratio. And, do you tend to hold your hits in longer with vaping? (Cause you can now) AND, how quickly do you raise the temp of your vape?

Let me see if I can find this discussion on FC. I know it has been presented there before.

ONE MORE THING FOR ALL VAPORISTS - Exhale your hits into a bright light (or sunlight) preferrably with a dark background. Vapor is thinner than smoke and sometimes you might not have much 'visible' vapor. I tend to blow out my hits into my overhead track lighting lights before I am 'impressed' with some of them.

Then again, hits from my SSV are pretty much ALWAYS thick as shit. :D

im high as hell right now!

first run with the extreme q.....

tried it a 220 degrees, nothing really, tried 250, nothing, 290, nothing....

went to 350 and got barely any smoke. so i figured that was a good temp.....

set the bag up and put the fan on low.....

took a few minutes to fill...

DAMN, it tastes good!!!!!!

two full bags and im pretty baked, a real head high. i feel taller, if that makes sense....

im sure its to high of a temp, but for the first run, im really happy!

need to dial it in right....

Somethings wrong.
Your temps are way too high, IMO.
I use 180-200, max.
It's not smoke, it's vapor!
Try low fan speed.
Also, I've noticed that different strains give different amounts of VISIBLE vapor.
Try the whip, and you will get much bigger/denser hits, while "wasting" more herb, but in your case that doesn't really matter.

i was talking to someone earlier about this. i am talking Fahrenheit, not Celsius...

they were saying 200-220 max and i don't get shit at that heat, but they were talking Celsius, which is 392-428F....

do i still have this wrong?

The cool thing about vaping is its different from smoking completely. Imagine cooking all of your food in the microwave all of your life and having the exact same meal slow cooked in a crock pot or oven.

Most of us like to start at a lower temp to get some of the lower temp CBDs (and THC which boils at a lower temp) as well as a good portion of the terpines(sp) which is what tastes so damned good. Slowly raising the temp (and stirring between hits) helps 'layer' your high as it gets more couchlocky as the temp is raised and the higher temp CBDs/CBNs are boiled off.

Lower fan speed should help thicken your hits/bags as the heated air lets the actives boil off more gradually. Your grind is also VERY important as well. You want a fine enough grind to expose the most surface area for the heated air to pass over (hence stirring as well) but not so fine that it makes taking a hit too difficult. Another thing you can do is take a few hits from a packed bowl/elbow to where its nice and crispy and a little golden brown, then crush it up a little more and repack to get even more delicious hits as well.

And SAVE all of your ABV. While it may be pretty much devoid of most THC it IS still very CBD/CBN heavy and will put you on your ass. Edibles, tinctures, QWISO - this is for a nice and DEEP stone. I love my ABV creations - its like getting a 2for1 out of my herb.

Hmmm...maybe not. Mine only shows centigrade. Perhaps you have a newer model.
One thing I found out: don't put buds in there. Dry the herb well in AC or whatever, and grind it up. You will get much more "smoke". I made that mistake the first time I used it.
celsius=centigrade. Mine works at 200 centigrade. 200 Centigrade/celsius=392 Fahrenheit.
So you are good.

By the way, I talked to Steve at Arizer, asking about the price discrepancy between Ebay and them, and he explained that there is a price war going on, with big distributors trying to put small distributors out of business. They are selling them at cost or below, or making only $5 per unit. He said they are trying to sort out the price discrepancy. I asked him if ICMag members could get a better price, and he said "yes", that they would price match.
I didn't take it any further than that, but that was his offer. Don't know how they would validate who real members are, but that was his offer. He's aware of ICMag.

On a sorta unrelated sorta note...

For those of you who INSIST on blowing bags, gathering the precious 'wand hash' from these bags can prove a challenge. I read about this method that just blew my mind.

In seeing that many people use the turkey basting bags as replacements, try using your (very well spent) bag as a poultry cooking bag with some veggies in it. (with a little butter) from what I read its a rather stoney meal.

you can pour some iso in the bag and shake it around, then dump the iso into a flat dish and let it evaporate... scrape up the resin with a blade

Sounds like a great cover up to the fact that the guys who give you a "warranty" are charging you twice what the guys who are not.

Cool chart. That would explain why high temps tend to knock me out. I especially like the reference to triple anti-inflammatory effects @ 160 Centigrade. That's my main medicinal use for cannabis.
It's very cool how you can isolate the different cannabinoids at different temps, thereby getting exactly what you want/need.
So you CAN always get what you want, despite Mick Jagger.
I have always preferred the lower temps, and this illustrates why. High anti-inflammatory, and high euphoria.

I think he settled on an Extreme Q as his end choice. I still havent heard much about how hes enjoying it (and if he is still combusting or not) :comfort:

You have many questions to answer before you grab just any ole vape, they all have their pros and cons based on what YOU like.
