Are you showing any signs of nutrient deficiency?

I know when running lucas there is the constant feel for the "need" to add something... but Calcium and Magnesium is already in the Maxibloom.

^^^ Didn't read your last one that careful... Still don't see the need for CalMag if you suspect it's Iron..... Get those pictures!

Yea I think I mighta locked it out due to slightly colder temps then woulda been ideal. I think your rite. I dont think I could do more than I already did by adjusting the vents and keepin the cold offa them.

Im gonna go advanced an try to load pics again. For some reason Im no longer able to load pics the way I always did.

It keeps tellin me that my pics aint valid file attachments. Im doin it the same way I always did.

I dont know whats up but I'l try again later.

iron defics are easy to diagnose. do you have a pic? iron defics look like N defics except they are immobile. meaning, it does not affect growth above or below the area of the defic. Calmag has iron in it and will easily ward off the defics.

Thanks gdtrfb! I'm going to use your thread as a little guide when I do decide to grow out my OH/skunk freebies. I just read that thread saying the freebies from Sam got mixed up at the Bou so it's goin to be some variety. My last run was just tap, maxi, silica and bloombastic during flower, but I got some left over floralicious plus & hygrozyme. Can those two products be used with tap? Don't want them to sit there and be a waste! Thanks guys

Im using a fox farms soil mix similar to moonshine, i want to add something in flower to dense up the nugs good, so interested in the maxibloom or kool bloom, something simple.

i was using the standard fox farms nute line, but im noticing alot of burn when used even at small doses.

so i switched to earthjuice catalyst for now, not sure how effective that is though.

my buddy swears by KB for density, and also heard other members here. anyone got experiance running the koolbloom in a soil/perlite mix?

thanks...

Thanks alot TooHighMF!

Yea, thats what I think it is. An iron def. Plus it only effected the one bukkit mostley. And rite where the temps got a bit lower than the rest of the bukkits. Rite by my intake vent. I think another facter that can add to an iron def is cold. I think it locks out at lower temps. I think I mighta got it too close to the light while gettin its nute temps too low, thus makin it work hard while not bein able to absorbe the iron. It came on kinda quick. It first snuk up but then just took off. In a mater of 3 days or so.

I think we'r goin in there tonight and takin a couple flowers from a bukkit thats got more than enoughf in it and replacing the deficient ones with them.

Il try to get pics up but now I keep gettin a message sayin"file too large"or something. I didnt change anything but now for some reason I cant post pics the way I did yesterday.

I'm using a modified KISS formula.

My soil is 60% high quality top soil, 20% Perlite, and 20% Vermiculite.

For nutrients I'm only using FloraNova Bloom.

1/2 tsp per gallon for vegging plants.
1 tsp per gallon for flowing plants.

I don't feed them every time I water, usally only 2 of 3 waterings.

My plants love it.

there is a lot of complexity out there masquerading as wisdom lol

WOW. between ph figures and all the other, i couldn't keep up with some of this stuff if i tried... sounds like a bunch of jazz musicians talking about sheet music instead of playing jazz. :smoke:

great thread and great advice!! never tried the maxi bloom, but been using a one-part system for years: i've just been topfeeding wormcastings (Soilbuilder) in veg and bat shit (Budswell Guano, yellow label) in bloom. that's it. soil is half FFOF and half OMRI pro-mix. stumbled across Kool Bloom along the way, and also ran across the humboldt line (snowstorm ultra, gravity, used bushmaster for a while but think i'm letting it go now..) but like everyone says the extra additives are really unnecessary when it comes down to it. idk you can get all scientific and sound like you know how to confuse people, but i've been getting results like this for a while now and don't even bother to ph my tap water lol (it is run through a brita filter and comes out right in the 6.5-7 range)

picture.php

about seven dif flavors in there, all getting the same nute regimine... i won't post pics of them all but here is a viper x trainwreck at day 51 (little bit of tip burn there is from messing with the additives, of course lol the guano and castings don't burn):

i would put my viper or my cherry haze to take the pepsi challenge with anyone's canabis in the world, period. bold statement, yes, but mind you i lived in amsterdam for four months, northern cali for three years, and the best parts of the rockies for two years... med cards in both states. i've seen some good herb in my time, and grown a little too. keeping it simple is the only way to go. just like weightlifting.. you can get more mass quickly by using steriods, but there is nothing like old fashioned working your ass off to get hard. roid users may appear hard but they are soft. ok i probably lost everyone in terms of analogies lol but the gist is that mother nature's process simply does things better than man's, in 99.99% of shit out there, even when (especially when?) we try to get all scientific about it. someday we might all figure that out.

great thread, thanks to everyone

Calmag also has N, Fe, and a bunch of trace minerals. sometimes when we strip our water of the essential trace minerals. we have to replenish these in healthy doses back to our water. :tiphat:

no moron ur wrong. cal mag locks out at 6.4 in soil, maxi uses nitrogen that lowers ph rapidly, by feeding at 6.8 after a few weeks you should be around 6.2 -6.5 in the soil. what you feed in isnt what the soil ph is. soil ph is what your looking for . thanks for showing up .

'Tis the method I use. 1/2 tsp/gal of powder KB for the last 4 days before final two week flush.
I'm an avid user of the K.I.S.S. method. My whole entire grow, and I mean from seedling 'til end of flower flush, gets 1 tsp/gal of Maxibloom. Period.
Everything in my album/old gallery (with the exception of my early soil days)was grown with said 1 tsp/gal of Maxibloom.
I did a whole grow log in Mosca's forum with his C99BX, all Maxibloom.
I may be leaving a few grams by not using a bunch of additives but for shear simplicity and cost, Maxibloom cannot be beat.
A $15 bag of Maxibloom last's me two 60 day flower runs...:)

*EDIT* Just wanted to add; I grow in coco but have a few moms in Rockwool blocks and I can verify that Maxibloom plays VERY well with rockwool. Also, a good buddy uses Maxibloom on ebb/flow tables and all is fantastic!

Hey Hello Evil!

Is that .5 tsp KB allong with the Maxi? Or do ya just feed nothin but KB @ .5 tsp per gallon rite before the flush?

Its prolly .5 tsp KB allong with 1 tsp MB but I just wanna make shure.
