College basketball

I agree with everything you said except i think the cats will win this one.Be nice to see our freshman stay another year. With the recruiting class coming in next year we would be awfully hard to beat...

I love underdogs, I hate "powerhouses", unless it is a team from my parts that I care about, which does not include any college basketball teams at the moment. I hate Kentucky and North Carolina because they are always taking out teams I am rooting for and they win too damn much in general. I am glad that Duke is gone to say the least. Oddly, I don't have much against Kansas but glad the underdog won. I am thrilled with the Butler vs VCU matchup, the other side of the bracket couldn't be much worse, so I hope whoever wins there loses the next game. Oh yeah right it is Kentucky vs Uconn, well I don't like Uconn but all for them in this matchup.

I can understand New Yorkers rooting for the Yankees or people from Kentucky supporting the Wildcats. What I can't understand is someone not from that school or area rooting from a powerhouse team. Makes me want to say "what's wrong with you?" I can't understand how anyone cannot like the underdog winning unless their school is the victim. But of course everyone has the right to root for who they want to. All I have to say is I am with HighDesertJoe on this one, GO VCU!!!

I like Uconn and I am an even bigger Jim Calhoun fan, amazing what that guy has done over the last 25 years, literally built a program from nothing to a national powerhouse, there won't be many coaches like him ever again....

Uconn VS Kentucky is gonna be a great game, especially since Calhoun and Calipari hate each other since the old days of fighting for recruits while he coached at Umass, I think it was Marcus Camby that made Calhoun hate him with a passion....

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!

I agree! VCU was the most underated team in the tournament, but that goes back to the selection committee! There have been some good games, but the whole selection and seeding thought processes took some "odd" twists and turns.

GO DUKE!!!!!!! Went to the national championship last year and plan on going again this year.

If i didn't know any better, I would say coach K was John Wooden incarnate! Have much respect for the man and the coach!

Still...lol...that's my two favorite teams. Kentucky and whoever plays Duke!

I wish the BIG BLUE was unstopable but i don't think thats the case.We are playing our best ball of the season right now but if vcu, uconn,or butler won it all it wouldn't suprise me a bit.I think UK and UCONN are probably the best two teams left but who knows who will win it all........GO BIG BLUE...........

I'm looking forward to Saturday's games. They both should be awesome.

I used to hate on UK, but I've grown to like them. Not love, just like.
I still hate on the bandwagon fans of Ohio State. 90% have no affiliation to the school (same could be said of UK).

Anyhow, Go Cats. I'd love to see Coach Cal get a ring. He's a great guy.
I'd also like to see VCU win it all so they could tell Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Dickie V. to stick it where the sun don't shine. Those guys are eating crow after their diatribe against VCU on selection sunday.

True enough. Our guys seem to be on a mission right now, hopefully that continues. If we keep playing defense at the level we have been, I think they bring home #8.

GO BIG BLUE!!!

Well no one agrees on anything, I hate Kentucky but they seem unstopable. VCU all the way baby!

It depends on which team shows up. If the defense shows up Ky will have a chance against UConn. It certainly didn't show up the first time around!

A lot of people hate KY! There are programs (lol...or coaches) I don't particularly like, but I have an appreciation for the student athlete and especialy a coach with integrity. Most aren't going to get to the pro's and even those who do, do it for love of the game. At the pro level it ceases to be a game and becomes a business.

The odd thing is, as much as I love KY basketball, I like KY football more! Yet another oddity, KY football brings in more money to the school than basketball. I don't know about other conferences, but the SEC schools put each sports program's revenue into a pot, as it were, and then divided evenly. Rupp Arena's 24K seats just can't compete with Tennesee's and Alabama's 100K-110K attendance of their respective football stadiums. Not to mention Florida, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, etc.

They wish they had the Yum center.

Who the hell is they? I'll take Rupp, renovated or not, over the Yum! (lol) Center any day. Please child.

We get to whip Louisville's ass there every other year anyway.

Hats off to UConn! It was a game in the second half, but you don't give up a ten point lead to UConn and survive it!

Congrats to the Huskies and Mr. Walker, well done!
