Is article about moroccan kif in this issue?

- I found such an information in L. Cherniak's vol. 1 book 3 about interesting article in High Times, its name is "the khyber pass. world's oldest smuggling run" (high times, april 1979).

NB - if anyone can look closely at any of very old ht zines for landrace issue and make qualitative scans of these articles it would be so helpful to study plant. any advices please about old articles (related to landraces) i don't know yet about.

I'm a collector as well. Buying individually can be expensive (like ten bucks a piece) but you can often get 10 of them at once for 40-50 bucks. I usually use ebay.

Our lost pal 4 seasons gave us a great thread though.

check your local used book store. many of them sell back issue magazines. i found some 1980's era high times for less than a buck an issue.

the centerfolds are almost comical by todays standards.

I'm pretty sure I do have the actual magazine, I have most of '79s issues. But I don't have a scanner or anything. Just a camera. Sorry.

not sure if it was really here or not but someone had a copy of a seed bank catalog scanned...it was pre-Sensi. Like the Sativa Seed Bank or something...pretty much all the strains were either the same names as the Sensi strains or the pictures looked like what they have in the catalog now.

I have a few of the first ones along with HEAD, STONEAGE, and FLASH as well. Best one is issue #4 which came out spring of '75. Talks about the 2 guys who sold seeds/plants from their houseboat in Amsterdam, way before these seed banks ever came around.

Really LOL I have stacks of mags I give them away all the time .. I just gave one to my doc I think I gave him Treating Yourself mag ... He laughed and said he would be all over it LOL.. peace out Headband707

I don't mean treating yourself or newer issues of HT. I'm talking about 20-30 year old vintage magazines. Nobody is going to pay ten bucks for a TY.

I don't collect anything newer than about 90' personally. Once the market was dominated by dutch seeds and indoor grows I lost interest. At a certain point HT actually had interesting articles from accomplished writers. They've had several change of hands through the years as far as editors, etc.

I don't buy new issues of HT. I liked the adventure stories from the 70s era. Smugglers ducking fighter jets in the clouds. The lawlessness of those source countries. Indians in loincloths with ak-47s packing freight ships with tons of herb. They had interesting stuff in them. I haven't read anything interesting in a HT in a long time.

First international pot bust in the US?

I am looking for an article about the first international cannabis bust in the US. Rumored to have been an article in High Times around Aug '78. the bust may have been a few years earlier. As the story goes it was a C-130 or some big ass plane coming out of Columbia and was dumping bales in the Glades. Customs was all over them and there were a couple of snitches on board. I guess they flew till they ran out of fuel and landed in the panhandle, Tallahassee maybe. If any one can find the article it would be GREATLY, GREATLY appreciated.
