that's just sick.. the buds even look like they are lined up horizontally LOL!! absolutely beautiful!! I really like the way you 'wired' up your 400 pointing up. Clean neat and looks very safe. Props dude. I love watching clean grows :respect:

Amazing canopy management on this one.
Did it take a lot of effort (it usually seems to) or did you happen to get lucky? Every now and then I get a plant that just grows that way, but most became a pain with the lower branches trying to reach up passed the upper branches. You want them to stay stepped like that so they don't block light from the branches above them. You also want them to lean in some so the backsides of the flowers get reflected light on them. When it's a dense wall the front side of the bud is great and the backside of the same bud is fluff.
Yours is exactly what it should look like.

Here's what I mean...
Front side of canopy looks fine. This one was a very dense canopy straight up a scrog screen, kept close to the screen.

Here is the backside of one of those buds, light green and fluffy due to touching the buds behind it and getting no light on the backside of it.

Leaving them room to spread out and proper training avoids this. Defoliating helps as well.

Thanks Pineboy:wave:

DHF, thanks that's a massive compliment!!

Thanks MGT.. Hey, when are you going to update your thread? Those ladies ready? I'm tryin to time three strains for flush and could learn from your exp with that CM..

My GDP looks like it at the budset and swell stage but the CM and RB are still building buds...

Thanks CyrilSneer and Mrktwiz....

Gardenbug, Nice post, you are right, thanks for posting good informative info here, helps us all learn.

As far as training the branches, I did get kinda lucky, I think the bulb arrangement (stacked with decending wattage) helped alot.
I did spend a bit of time in veg directing branches via zip ties to build the canopy. I learned this scrogging in a PC case, lol, a fellow icmagger (Cork144) taught me to keep an air shield around the buds and he was right.

I am pleased with these results, canopy looks totally scrogged but it's just mild LST... I am now using the strings more to move buds where I want, them than to hold them up, the branches are very rigid and don't droop much.

I did get lucky, picked up an invisible cool tube and an invisible Marlo style scrog screen that tilts the canopy back like a lazyboy recliner..lol

The controller is very simple it's just a bucket with a very small fountain pump that moves water through a 1/4 inch line to the center of the chain of buckets. Sorry I dont undestand this part of it-Through a 1/4 in line to the center of the chain of buckets??? from and through what part into what, and what part of the where?

Yes the welding goggles are a good suggestionWas under the impression only halides gave off dangerous UV's and are still needed even with the ballast dimmed, that sucker is bright!!
Thnks:tiphat:

Hey Bud-Boy, The 1/4 inch line is attached to a very small fountain pump in the res. This is just to move enough water through the chain of buckets to keep PH and E.C readings accurate. I use massive air bubbles to keep the nutes moving in each individual bucket. Hope this helps clear it up, if not, let me know and I'll try to get more detailed...

Thanks for checkin in.

Hi again Aerohead, props for this thread, so inspirational, and I can say for a fact that if it wasn't for this and a few other Vertical threads I wouldn't have started my own Vertical setup this fast.

My setup is going to be similar to yours, except that I will use screens like Marlo. Tbh I still can't believe how great your room looks considering you had no screens to hold those branches away from the bulb!

I'm going to run 2 x 600 on top of each other, so almost same as you. Plan is to start out with 1 and then turn the other on 10-15 days into stretch.

If I wan't an even canopy growth do you think it would be wise to sink the bulb low the first week of the stretch when going 12/12, in order to get more budsite promotion on the lower part of my plants?
They're gonna be 90+ cm / 35 inches tall when I flip the timer, but since my veg room is STACKED, budsite development is not so great down there in the shadows..

Hope you don't mind I ask you here!

Cheers :tiphat:

Thanks Red, great to hear from ya...

Dicomaco, Your setup sounds sweet stacked 600's are going to rock!

As far as the lighting goes for veg and stretch, I am still figuring things out. Last run, I vegged with the lower light and my plants got wider than tall. This is also no doubt partially due to my strain but I am going to try to run the top light first next run.

Sinking the bulb low this run gave me a bit too much lower growth, very dense down there and almost impossible to prune... I am still in the learning stage so I'll be watching what you do with those lights, maybe we can figure out the best way to veg these doughnuts..

Sending good vibes for your grow...

I'm still a few weeks from harvey, starting to think about the flush soon, the GDP is finishing first, the CM is second, and the RB is still packin buds and showing no signs of stopping lol.

Looks like the RB is going to be the biggest yielder, it's very impressive, possibly the most dense nugs I have ever seen. Each lady has a few 18" clubs hard as rocks about the diameter of a beer bottle...

I'll try to get some bud shots up soon.

Hey Konopenko, thanks!!

I officially hate my camera, I can't get macros down with it and the white balance is worthless. It's a Canon G7 and I want to stomp it to tiny bits, my cheap Kodak was way better.. I took maybe 150 pics and got very few keepers and they aren't very good..

Here are some day 49 shots..

looking killer man.

sucks about the camera...I've been taking tons of crappy cell phones pics for months only to find out a few days ago that my phonecamera has all sort of sweet options...I've just been using it to point and click.
