btw i just tried a little of some pre-harvest dried viper. have been ignoring her so much because the cherry is so nice looking and smelling. but damn that old vtw smell, as soon as i ground up the bowl, hit me. very pungent and unforgettable stuff. got me feelin pretty nice too, in that early test nugget way lmao.

i am so ready to have a nice phat dried and cured jar of the vtw and of the cherry to pick from. smoking all this bubba has made me realize why i prefer something a bit more uppity :nono:

i smoke every four or five (or half) hours. tough to do with a heavy indica. at least tough for me. lol

today is day 55 for the cherry haze. i just checked on her and saw these (it's all the same nug--two nanners):

so day 55 it is. gotta take her down; can't mess around with stuff getting seeded by nanners. i been down that road. good news is i think she will be just fine. :smoke:

should be a couple ounces, or pretty close. letting the viper keep going until i see any nanners or until she hits day 60-70, we'll see. everything else is right on track. those granddaddy purps x trainwreck babies are really poppin up and taking over. very nice, dj! can't wait to see where they go. the two plain trainwreck ibl's made it and are coming along, so hopefully at least one is a female. the killer chem x tw's are looking fantastic as well. more veg updates later.

nice job there man!! are you/did u have any light leaks? or was it just a random herm? i hope there was only those 2 nanners... that would blow chode fo shezzie. they loook suppa frosty for sure and i bet the smoke will be more of an "up" sence u havested (potentaly) while trikes were clear/milky. otherwise fantastic.. Kudo's to you

mr.p: thanks brother i'm not completely sure but though i'm pretty sure it had to do with an incident where i flipped the light timer that was on an extension cord on the ground. (has since been raised up out of the way). the way may setup is, i have the lights on two different circuits to not overload one. that means i have two different timers set as close as possible to each other. though i i put it back correctly, somehow the other one was off. i didn't realize it and left for the weekend. when i arrived back i noticed that only one light was on. thought the bulb had burned or something but looked in and the timers were complete opposite, meaning they got light for 48 hours straight. this was a few weeks ago. thought i was in the clear but saw some on the dc crosses so probably caused it. i'll keep an eye on the room this run and see if it is genetic or what. the smoke is so f'ing phenomonal i doubt i would get rid of the strains even if it is a genetic flaw. idk i am too high from this nug of cherry haze that i cut at week 7 and dried out.

hey t: yeah, these trainwreck crosses are always fast-ish. macro pics make it look about 80/20 cloudy/clear. good enough. i'll be selling most of it anyway. be awhile before i can start working on my personal stash.. hopefully this next big harvest takes care of that bs. thanks for post mang!

yeah, it sucks, but not too bad. there are only a few plants left that went through the above-mentioned 72 hours light fiasco, so after they run through i should be good to go. and absolutely will this cherry smoke well. you'll be able to see what i mean in the dried shots. :smoke:

oh yeah the micro, let's see what kinda trichs we got

yeah, mostly cloudy, can still see about 10-20% clear, and if you look hard enough can even find a couple ambers (i saw a few in one of the pics lol hope it was one i posted)

i'm happy. she'll be good enough. next batch will go longer.

ok let's see moving on, here's something i have been meaning to do a little side-thread on, but she beat me to it. you guys remember i had some cloning trouble.. couldn't get the second round of dc crosses to root. ended up losing all of the B1 (purple monster) that i had!! when i realized it, i went to the bloom room and took a cutting of the B1 in week 2, maybe even 3. had a big freaking flower on top. lol well, what do you know it actually rooted so i put her in a cup last week or two ago. figured it would take weeks to see any kind of change, but low and behold she is re-veging like crazy.

i love that shit. magic in action.

ok everyone, just did about three hours of planting and bullshit lol i am tired. time to hit some berlin wall and stadium.. i own those maps.

enjoy pics. got the viper trainwreck harvest (shot of the cherry hanging too) and also pics of the veg room after planting. let's see.. have around 35 clones/seedlings in 1/2 gal bags. i really like the 1/2 gallon bags so will be skipping cups for a round and see how it goes. also did a side by side of the 3 cherry haze veggies, one in plain fox forest ocean farm, one in plain promix (can't remember the brand but there is a pic back a page or two), and one in the mix i usually use. gonna see if i can cut the mix to just one or the other, or if i should keep rolling it. also have a couple shots of some brandywine tomato seeds i plugged lol haven't had a good slice of tomato since i was a kid on the farm, so gonna see if i can grow a good tomato. 3/4 beans are sprouted. peace

Fantastic work khaleel! Thats unfortunate about the tw cross but this is not totally unexpected considering the tw influence. TW seems to throw out some nanners late in flower but ime they always seem to be sterile. Better safe than sorry tho.
Great job and lookkng forward to the next installment. Youve really got some dank rolling in now.. enjoy!

thanks a lot trich, i had never heard that they were sterile.. next time i'll probably just pluck and let em go but like you said playin it safe sometimes is necessary when you have a lot depending on the outcome. like a good game of golf. (as if i would ever play it safe in golf lmao)

K you are killin' it here, those plants are looking amazing. You certainly have come a long way from the days under the T-5's. This is a very exciting grow you have going now and its just getting better.

I would have loved to have seen that Cherry Haze go for 70 days, I bet it would have thrown on some serious weight in the last 2 weeks; not that you didn't pull a nice yield off here. Well that is what the next grow is for, and if I am not mistaken you have a few Cherry Haze plants in flower now, so at least one of them has to make it to day 70. And that VTW is looking killer too. I love that you are doing a side by side comparison of planting mediums. Anyway I am glued to your thread, thanks for sharing.

well i am sorry to hear about the timer issue, and that is never any fun. but all in all those ladies did fatten up. they looked wonderful + isnt it true that if a plant self polinates they will be Femmed seeds? im not sure on this but if so then ull get a couple of those 2 out of the mix

thanks man, yeah i did it all by myself so no one to blame but me and learn from it and move on. i raised the timer up off the floor so it wouldn't get kicked again. was just one of the lazy things i hadn't gotten around to doin yet, and wallah. anyways, yup they still went a full 8 weeks.. i should get an ounce to ounce and half off each (probably closer to ounce).. next time the nanners are getting clipped until they get out of control, if they pop up, but i also desperately needed the funds so it was kind of a two-pronged approach in terms of contributing factors (jesus i should be writing campaign speeches with that kind of semantic bullshit). i'm not sure on the fem seed part, halfta let the breeders answer that one. i have heard that before, but i just can't help but think you get inferior genetics when they have to cross with their own gene pool.. otherwise all plants would just do that instead of leaving it to chance/bugs right? idk lol we'll hear about it i hope. thanks for post as always g, glad you likee the harvest

smoking: ha hell yeah, man. i remember the t5's in my closet.. four years ago, about 7 plants.. lol those were the days (not really). many thanks for the compliments. and yep, the goal is always to go a fully 70 days because the one time i actually listened to all you pimpses who kept suggesting i try it (there was one plant) i was amazed at how much weight that last 10-15 days adds. but every fucking time i pronounce "this one is going 70 days!" some kind of shit or another blows up in my face. lol so i will never again say "it's going 70 days" but the goal is always to go 70 days. :smoke:

ok everyone, the cherry on the smaller branches is perfect. just jarred a couple grams up for a half hour, went to burp it, and was met with the most wondeful, surprisingly pungent kerosene trainwreck kinda smell back nicely with a cherry-fruity surprise, with a little of that musky (? lol) kinda haze odor. holy fucking shit. i seriously was like "agghhhhh!" out loud and shit when i took that first inhale. lmao but i only wish i could post a picture of the smell.. she is one of my favorites. i must not have done a good job with her the first run, cuz this one was something special. viper is looking nice too, and the veg room killin it. :yes:

all is on track for a grand show in a month or thereabouts.. :canabis:

ok the rest of the cherry is ready as well. all jarred up right now on second hour of curing. smokes fantastic. just amazing -- sorry not trying to sound cocky but damn i am in love with this stuff. can't wait to try the viper.

ok here's some pics. the cherry totaled in at 55.2 g, minus a couple earlier bowls and even an earlier branch. just short of two zips. now we're talkin. hope to get the same out of the viper, and think i might (knock on wood). enjoy! (i made some cookies and am ripped out of my gourd off two.. that pineapple upside down cake is gonna be sweet)

[edit: it is now about ten minutes after typing the above. my world is starting to trip a little bit.. budda turned out well. this is all the trim from the bubba and g-13 deep chunk crosses holy shit]

cherry haze x trainwreck; i can't really come close to doing the smell justice by describing it in words... think lots of pure trainwreck, heavy pungent kerosene mixed with some sort of tropical fruit.. and the cherry fruity thing happening with the touch of haze.. damn it is nice. flavor is on the very smooth-pulling haze side, but you can taste the fruit a little too. very happy with the turnout.
