Give me reasons to win my girlfriend over 1000w instead of 600w

A lot of these posts are clearly from guys who don't get laid. This man obviously respects and values is girl's opinion. 1000wt is the best option but a 600 wouldn't do to bad. Fuk it. Do a couple rounds with the 600 and then you'll have the cheddar for a 1000wt and extra to pay the electricity. Making decisions with my girl sux. But when she's happy, so is my dick. Nuff said.

the guy is skint and his girl is paying all the bills - in my books that doesnt put him in the position to 'call the shots'.
also when the power bill comes, a 1k is going to be a lot more of a shock to the system and may end up in his girl (the current breadwinner) refusing to keep paying in the future - thus my advice to get a 600.
of course it would help if we knew the size of the room and whether the grow will be for personal or commercial.

and just for the record, i have a hot wife, together for twenty + years, we are equals in the relationship and that's the only way i would want it.

@OP: I'd listen to VerdantGreen. If your lady is cool enough to pay for your stuff, let alone let you grow, be reasonable and compromise. Or start looking for a job, I know sometimes it's not easy, maybe there's reasons you can't work right now or something. well it was more of a general comment on what i see day in, day out on the boards whenever you guys talk about women, that they should for some reason do as they are told and not question you an any way whatsoever. of course thats a generalization but thats what i mostly see.

The main reason you'll want the 1k is that you will have deep regrets for not getting it later on down the road.

That was how I talked myself into the 1k over the 600. I didn't want to look back over the next 8 years going "I wish I had spent 50 more dollars" Then went full out on a 1k switchable mag powerhouse.

Tell her that either light you buy will pay for itself and any electricity consumed simply by eliminating the need to buy ounces on a regular basis, and that your heart is really yearning for that big manly bulb so you will not always be wondering if you could be getting more out of your setup.

(LightWattage / 1000) x CostPerKilowattHour = Cost per hour to run your lights

CostPerHour x HoursPerMonth = Monthly cost

1000/1000 x .10 = 10 cents per hour
12 hours per day x 30 days= 360 hours

360hours x $0.10= $36 dollars per month

@ 10 cents per Kilowatt hour a 600 Watt bulb will save you $14.40 per month. Will a 1KW bulb yield and extra $15 dollars per month worth of bud? hmmm... $250/28g=$8.9 per gram

Not sure of your electric costs but there is the formula should you want to do some comparisons with your own numbers.

Usually, 1000's are either cheaper, or close to the cost of a 600 for the ballast, as 1000's are used for other things than horticulture. 600 is generally a horticulture only bulb/ballast. 1000w bulbs are WAY cheaper than 600's for sure.

I'd second the get a Quantum 1000 suggestion, gives you the ability to switch it to a 500w, 750w, or 1000w. Search around online for a good price, then you can save her money as much as possible, and pay her back with the first harvest. Good luck.

alright green i'm with you. i would not disagree with any of your observations one bit but again maybe you are not laughing as much as you should. for the record i am about 110% sure that the OP knew he would get responses just like these, it goes on every day like you said. try not to throw all us yanks on one pile, i for one love my wife and treat her like i do, if my "peers" don't like it i don't care. some days it is hard to read some of this stuff but ya gotta take it with a grain of salt. having a sick sense of humor can be a very good thing some days and while sick may be offensive to you it is only humor for a large part of the crowd
