Hi, I have a few questions I was hoping someone can answer. Thanks.

I was wondering what size area a 1000 watt light could cover?

Why are some grows stacked up colosseum style? Which is more effecient?

Why do some people tilt the pots towards the light? Whats the purpose?

Most of you questions are a matter of personal preferences for vert growers. These decisions are usually made based on the size and shape of the grow space.

To get any solid answers, you will need to be much more specific regarding your setup. Meanwhile, read up on these vert threads and choose one that looks most like yours, pictures really worth 1000 words...

Thanks. I have a whole basement to work with but its only about 8 feet high. If its better to grow colosseum style over a leveled grow, I can set it up that way but only if its worth it in terms of yield. However, I can also hang lights vertically and put plants around it on a leveled surface if that way is more effecitnt. If you have 2 1000 watt lights, which style of vertical growing would yield more?

Just0 using Vertical lights gave me a big improvement over using hoods.. I changed to vertical last year. I have seen much better coverage and yield improvements.

So colosseum style would yield more than vertical scrogs and sogs?

well colosseum is the shape.

sog is putting alot of in that space likewise scrog is few in a net.

sog will win if your not limited to numbers...

Thanks. I've been doing a lot of reading about vertical growing. Still a little confused but getting there. So theres 2 basic ways to set up vertical grows? One is stadium/colosseum style and the other is a flat level grow with the plants surrounding the bulb? Then in each set up you can either grow sog, scrog, trees or bushes?

Boodha;

MANY of the questions you are asking are answered in the two threads Marlo already linked for you, I suggest you read them. I think it will provide MANY of the answers you are asking here. He also started another whole thread for newer vertical growers, again information is your best friend, check it out here;
