went out yesterday and spent a good half day opening/tarting up the plot. Im going to have a 3ft space between each plant to help against budrot (i hate that word), light penetration & access to plants.

Ill have 36 plants here, 3 rows of 12, 24 guerilla gold 2.... the other 12 will be gg3 x short term amnesia.

the soil ive been collecting is really nice :) like a good seedling compost light and loamy, will save me a few £'s too.... i could probably fill up a small truck if i wanted.

( pics = a before and after, view facing south, sieved soil)

Really nice spot Harold!

And so it begins...

My spot prep will have to wait a couple of months, Im keepin it simple- digging a nice sized hole for each plant, mixing the soil with rock and fresh guano (cavemans is very well priced) packing it back in then coming back later to put all the girls in.

Good luck everyone, got a good feeling about this season :)

Peace

Alright.. Good luck to everyone in2011. Ive just joined the site but lurked about in the outdoor thread lastyear, some great stuff going in there.

Minime that pic almost made me spit coffee over the pc!!, quality!hehe Gotta be the worst lawn ever tho.....

Here's a couple of pics i took lastyear... dna freebees grown in the UK, west mids. The second pic was taken on the 30th Oct after most leaves had been stripped/trimmed just before crop.

Take it easy..

Hi all, I am jumping on the band wagon this year just ordered:

HFH Danish Gold
HFH Hashplant 2

Only grown outdoors once, and that wasnt intended, basically i went away for a weekend, and my indoor plants cupboards door blew shut, causing massive burn damage, any way instead of throwing the plant, i planted it outside and was very suprised to see it grow. It turned hermie after that shock but i got 3/4 of an once and 700 odd seeds!

Cant indoor grow atm so gona try outdoor. Just need a good plot or 2....

went to check out a potential plot today, my uncle owns a big farm, animals like sheep and cows, so he has lots of fields and moves the sheep around when the grass runs out, any way i noticed a bit where it wasnt a grasing field, had a stream running through it and was on google maps, so i checked it out...

It was perfect, lots of tall reed around the stream, scattered bushed and trees to hide and blend, doesnt look very green atm, then i noticed something.. next to the gate the enters into the adjacent graising field was a bird feeder, and i realised it must be a lure for game birds...

My uncle does hunt so i dont know who put it there, or even if its stil used, but i dont want to be walking towards a grow area when hunters with guns are hiding in the bushes. I think im gona go back and kick it over and see if its been put back up in a months time.

Meanwhile il keep searching i guess....

Welcome to the mad bad world Habel .

It turned hermie after that shock but i got 3/4 of an once and 700 odd seeds!

Dump the seeds out for the birds , they will just give more he-shes if you grow them .

habel, what you found was for feeding phesants/partridge,which means the land is well used, the cover nearby will probally be walked through during shooting season,to flush birds for the gun,so find another spot

thanks guys il leave well alone, i found another spot a bit further up which is basically in a wooded area, but up if u clumb up this steep bank there is a large area of brambles, it would be alot of work to clear an area in the middle but would be steathy, as u have to climb thru the brambles to see it. Only downside is there was fresh rabbit droppings by edge of mound, and could see animal tracks up the hill so prob a rabbit mound under there.. Can they be scared off?
