was having a clear out today found a haggard looking rvk took it apart looked at bearing noticed they where
608zz's and if i remember from skating that they were in the cheap skates and in the next price range was abec 1 and then abec 3 n abec 5 ,7 and abec 9 being the dogs bollox,

had some abec 5s in an old toolkit ....silence
all you can hear is the wooosh of air going through it

and before someone asks how its a peice of piss

all you do is
..remove the screws from the rim of the fan.
..pull the 2 halfs of the fan apart
..through the end of the opening on the motor side, remove the 4 screws that hold the motor.
..on the back of the motor is a metal cover, remove that with long nosed pliers
..remove the circlip and spring washers
..push the spindle through the first bearing
..remove bearing off the motor cover and the bearing on the spindle and replace with abec 5 ,7,9
..put back together in reverse order

bearings set you back about a tenner :)

Aye, i second that, though i had to look up RVK to see what the instructions where good for.
Where is a good place to buy bearings online?

Will the bearings be the same size for all RVKs, I've got a 5 inch and I'm not boasting.

I've given up smoking, so was always a little paranoid to post. But I do love this hobby.

Bloody hell mate, 4 posts in 6 years, have you been away at war? :)

And I've got a 6 inch and I'm not boasting.

I've given up smoking full time as I was getting paranoid, even to post. Didn't realise it was 4 years!:tiphat:
