Man o man did the cost of plane tickets from the states just go up or what! Looks like oil is going to drive the cost of travel through the roof. I was hoping to make it this year but once again stuff is forcing me to miss this years gathering. I hope that everyone has a happy and safe cup this year. Enjoy yourselves.

try virgin atlantic to london then the shuttle to amsterdam, easy jet, transavia or british air. cheap air fares require a saturday night stay. delta has a flight apr 17-24th 1125$ nonstop sf to amsterdam
Yep that's called Yield management, prices varies a LOT depending on places available, and time before departure.
You can also check out iceland express that flies from NYC to london, for around 600/700 USD. not sure what s the cheapest way from London to dam, though.

Well last year I went via coach. I get on one which leaves from london and I get on before the crossing in Dover. Costs about £60 return, the same or actually cheaper from london. It does take about 12 hours though which is a big down side especially if you have already had a long flight.
From london you can get the euro star to brussels and a train from there to amsterdam. Takes about 2 hours from london to brussels, not sure how long from brussels to amsterdam but its only a few hours I think. I think you would be looking at paying £100 - 200 return
Flights right now are going for around £100 return on sky scanner from london to amsterdam, takes about 45 mins flight wise so you'll spend more time boarding and getting off! Then a quick train ride to central station. Watch out for the graffitti on the sides of the tracks, some wicked stuff.

well thats not bad for 2 people, you made it seem like it was for 1 person. spend the $ you cannot take it with you and the experience is worth it.

in states of north africa and the middle east, especially lybia. severe times.
yeah 2800 for two tickets lol, I said girlfriend and myself. Shits expensive for sure, thats just the travel, stay is just about as much....Add in judge pass, guest pass, passport fees for two, and a 1200 sqft houseboat for 10 days....
