This probly the best one, make sure when you paint it to take a sample of the paint already there to homedepot or somewhere that mixes paint so they can match the exact color of the wall too, otherwise u gotta buy more paint to paint the whole wall, or it wont match.

I'm a General Contractor, so it may be easier for me....
But for something that you want hidden, but have access to if needed (Gun)...just cut a square in your drywall somewhere (Maybe 12 inches by 12 inches, or bigger for a rifle), put in a piece of wood as a shelf, then put the drywall back, but don't use any backing on it-- Just tape it, mud it (Must be a perfect job), and paint the wall-- So when you need it, it won't take much to hit it, and grab what you need--:tiphat:
Like I said tho, I have a lot of experience in drywall, if you have textured walls, it might be hard to do-- I can match almost any texture, but most can't--

Hey Man,havent read full thread yet so hope im not repeating. You very rarely can fool the dogs. The handlers are your target. let them find a little of what they are lookin for,an empty pot, some old nutes. You follow? They see what they want to believe,'oh here is where the dirtbag WAS growin'. Some water treatment systems use Potassium Permanganate, looks like a water softener full of grape juice. Easy drop for your alleged felony firearm and small shit. All the above may or maynot work for you. Hope you never find out!! Its a BAD day when you test out this type of shit..

i have never heard of this happening, i have a 215 card and was still able to pass the DOJ background check, and i know several people with 215 recs who have been able to buy guns legally.

also...id imagine drug sniffing dogs could smell a gun that has been used, because there is gunpowder residue that makes the barrel smell pretty bad. even a brand new gun will have had test shots fired...they can smell the gunpowder.

dont have long guns around the grow...if you have to have a gun around your grow, make it a small concealable pistol, keep only one or two magazines for it, stash all extra mags/ammo somewhere else, including the box, manuals, etc. hide it somewhere good and hope no one finds it....its basically an emergency pistol in case of robbers..

Im not in cali. Your state reg is voluntary right? Cali mmj laws makes your Rec. info confidential too right? In my state they have a state registry and I think they gave the info to the feds. There real dicks here.

If you truthfully fill out the Federal firearms license application, you will be denied the right to purchase a firearm. The application has an explicit clause which asks if the purchaser is a user of marijuana. If you don't fill the application truthfully, and sign it, you have just committed a Federal felony in the acquisition of your firearm.

Except if you thoroughly clean your firearm after each use, there will be no residue -- only the smell of light machine oil. Those LEO K-9s are much more likely to detect your cocaine-infused cash, which you can btw mostly wash off.

Actually, a long gun such as a 12-gage shotgun could prove to be a more effective deterrent to rippers than a small concealable pistol. It's hard to even look at the business-end of a 12-gage without holding your breath, even unloaded. And there are non-lethal bean bag rounds available for that shotgun -- safer for you and your unwanted intruder ...

A man defended his property with a gun leaving one dead, the other assailant not the home owner was charged with murder while in the act of a crime. The victim was a 215 compliant.

Recently a legal grower here in Oregon defended his grow with a gun also and was not charged with anything.

there was a big debate about the marijuana thing on the gun forums...basically the the form asks "are you an unlawful user or addicted to any of the following which includes marijuana"

big debate about...most feel that they arent "addicted" and since they are using in compliance of state law the assume to be "lawful" users. now the form is federal but handled by the state department of justice which is weird. there are many people who have both 215 rec and a legal firearm, and they arent having their doors being kicked in by federal agents. i also keep my main arsenel of longguns and ammo at a location that has no weed or anything illegal, just in case.

either way...having a legal 215 script and a legally registered firearm is a sketchy issue, and can technically be used federally to fuck people. however i have noticed that most of the time in california it is not pursued. just dont have a collection of 15 ar15s in the middle of a 200 plant grow.

a shotty is better for home defense, but when you weigh having to conceal it from cops as well. thats why i go with snub nose 38 or a glock compact. much easier to build a trapspot for a mini glock than a shotgun...

Just go ahead a splurge the 25 bucks for a gallon of paint, and paint the whole wall, corner to corner...if the color is off a tad, you won't be able to tell--:tiphat:

Those dogs can smell a frigging .22 round in a heap of dung-- Dogs noses are like 600% more sensitive than ours-- They are trained to look for their "Toy"...they will find it--

If they're knocking....It's probably the cops. :) Either that or you have very polite robbers in your neck of the woods.

That's how a home invasion usually goes down...

and no they are NOT polite

just saying.. if someone you don't know is at your door your other hand should be on your taser

paladin420 is right on the money. it's safest to assume that whatever you're hiding is going to smell...as he said fool the handler into thinking that they found what the dog "found"..like a hidden compartment inside of a container with a couple roaches or just some stems even..

I think one of the coolest and most simple hidden compartments I've seen is the one where the top or bottom stair lifts up or pulls out like a drawer...also under most bathroom/kitchen cabinets there's about 4" of space if you can get to it easily.

The surge protector on my computer is empty inside. The buttons work, the lights come on, but I rewired it. Gives me a space about 3 inches wide and 8 inches deep.

There's usually a roach or two on the desk and a few that have fallen behind the desk. That should draw off the dogs...if it ever comes to that.

It's a good place to stash things in, but I wouldn't want to have to do that fast.

I got a spot...its empty, but I got a spot...actually several. wont fool a dog, but theres enough roaches and stems and crap around to throw off the trail for a minute.
