How clean does my coco need to be?

Canna works right from the bag. BCuzz nearly killed my plants without a major washing, Canna did not. You can mess around with your coco all you want, but i just make a batch of nutes for my transplants, use that to wet the coco, transplant, and start feeding. Fuck all that washing and buffering crap. It's a big waste of time. Canna is $20 a bag. Thats cheap for my growing budget.

Canna + Blumats + Smartpot = Some of the best results you can get.

I agree 100 percent. Those who claim BCuzz is good right out of the bag, must not have experienced the same results as the both of us. BCuzz is pre-nuted, and is more expensive. Canna is cheaper, cleaner, and can be used right out of the bag. F that washing shit!!

Funny bcuzz says right on the bag buffered and pre rinsed.Doesn't that mean its already prepped ? add plants and grow. I was told by the North American Rep that it was good to go out of the bag. He sent me an analysis of samples they had done. It is pre-nuted. The only bag I ever bought of BCuzz almost killed some clones of mine...right out of the bag. But, my larger plants that were transplanted did fine.

I am not dissing BCuzz, it is quality Coco. But just know that it has nutes in it. Possibly certain bags are more concentrated than others. I know for a fact that I am not the only person that has experienced the same situation. For me, Canna works better. I know what I am starting with, clean...un-nuted Coco.

No im not into dissing either. However didnt you say you precharge your canna ? So if bcuzz come's rinsed and buffered .Same thing except its done for you equals less prep time so really whats the dif ?BTW when i got the bcuzz for free i stuck my clone s in no rinse nothing worked fine .If you can feed seedlings 1.4 ec then whats in the bcuzz pre charge should have no effect maybe a bad bag dunno or maybe try it again..peace B

You don't need to precharge Canna. Also, just because a company says its pre rinsed and buffered does not imply that it is clean in the bag. They might rinse, buffer, then add their own stuff. Or they don't do a good job at rinsing and buffering. Who knows? No one can say for sure what BCuzz is up to because so many people on here have either had perfectly normal results or really horrid results. From my own observations about a third of BCuzz users on here report bad results. I just don't hear any bad things about Canna's coco. Their quality control is clearly better imo.

I can feed seedlings 1.4 EC, because I know what is going into my Clean Canna Coco. BCuzz adds their own ferts, and it is obviously not the same as my strength. If you add nutes to a mystery amount of nutes, how do you know what you are really feeding your plants? I am just giving my opinion from experience. BCuzz costs more and screwed some of my clones up. Canna costs less and have NEVER had an issue. My personal opinion to anyone using Coco, if you have Canna available...it is the best option. Have I had good results with others? YES, GH brick actually worked well for me....but you have to hydrate, rinse, and charge.

I know BCuzz can and does work well for some plants/people...but for others it can be deadly. I choose to avoid anything that will alter my routine. Maybe BCuzz had some bad batches for all I know, but regardless...it is much more expensive than Canna around here. So there is no benefit for me. Good luck

:tiphat:off to ya Slow. All i meant was straight out of the bag with ph adjusted water, no pre charge required which would keep ec good till roots get going then add your own ferts. i dont doubt you have a good system that work well for you judging by your clone shots and all .Respect

I'm late to the party... but I have to agree with the guys who feed clones full strength. I am guilty of getting lazy and feeding my clones full strength ferts. It really depends on the plant how it's going to react. I find that most of them do just fine. Seedlings are another story. I try and wait until they have a few sets of leaves before I feed them full strength.

I use 5kg bales of botanicare cocogro, and gh cocotek when that's not available, and I never flush them. I cut it 50/50 (guesstimate) with coarse perlite. I also reuse my mix. Seedlings and clones generally get fresh coco/perlite, and then when they're transplanted they get the recycled mix...

IMO plants tend to do better in re-used coco or soil.
I re-use my coco 3 times before adding it to the outdoor yard.
The only problem with people having trouble with re-using their coco is the fact that they overload it with nutes, boosters, and stuff like BushMaster.

after harvest... my used coco gets dumped into a large container, I remove as much roots as possible, mix it up, and repot it back into the smartpots or the hempy buckets it came from. I then run HOT water through it until the run-off is clear. you can check your PPMs and they should be inline with your tap water or slightly higher. I used to run Final Phase or whatever leaching agent, but I don't think it's necessary. I would run some H2o2 (or a little bleach) in high concentration if you had gnats or other bugs/problems.
I then transplant a well-rooted clone and water/feed at 1000 ppm. Done.

I was thinking if you flush real well for harvest as i can get my coco down to .1or.2 ec thats lower than most tap water ,so when i reuse coco no need for flush just plant and grow.Any ways i tried it plants are fine.B
