Secret Jardin Grow Lab Club! Wattage doesn't matter!

Hi guys, some great stuff in here. A friend is flowering in a DR300 (10x10), with 4K bare bulb. I'll try to get him to take pictures. No promises. Central AC, no CO2. 12 nasty buckets.

So we're both wondering, do you think a DR150 (5x5) would be a sufficient Veg room for a perpetual cycle grow? We were thinking just 1K MH, and maybe a light mover.

Thoughts? Thanks!

has anyone had a fan strap break with the growlab tents? i use a squirrel cage blower and use one strap on the fan motor and it broke last night while i was installing a new filter....and the blower motor dont get that hot.....might email them about it as i think the straps could be a bit thicker/different material....i also added some cross braces in my tent using 1/2" pvc T's some 1/2" long machine screws and some 1/2" pvc.....much better now that the tents sides dont suck in....

What are the differences between the DR and the DRII? Is there a link that gives an explanation as to what improvements were made? Are they still a contender in the ever evolving world of tents? Who are the top 3 brands these days?
I've only used the DR and I like 'em just fine.
Peace

DRII .... new fabric, no light leaks, new stronger corner pieces

I have a DR60 and the new DR90II... the IIs are built even better.

Thanks for the quick reply! How about ducting vents. Are they still at 5"?

Id like to know about the top vent also.... Im running a DR80 with a 6'' cooltube 600hps, and althought my setup works, squeezing sideways my 6'' ducting into the 5'' top port to open back up out side the top of the tent, I think the 5'' port ruins the functionality of the tent when running a decent sized cooled setup.

If you look on the chart I linked above....
DR90 II's Extraction Intraction and Cooltube sleeves are all 203mm

203 mm = 7.99212 "

Due to using a LED setup in there at this time I am only using a 4" extraction fan but I am using a 6" intraction hose and the sleeve is still a bit loose around it.

Do any of your reflectors touch the sides of your tent when the walls suck in from the negative pressure??? I just bought a 250w hps system for my DR60 and the walls touch the front and back of the reflector. Just wondering if I can get away with this without a fire??? Might have to grab the DR90

Desert Dan try attaching clothespins or something similar, if they will attach to your reflector. This will allow plenty of air to pass by your reflector. What kind of reflector by the way?

Good idea... just enough room for air to pass. Its one of those hydrofarm sunburst reflector/ballast combo systems. So the ballast is attatched to the reflector.

I was thinking of putting in some sort of cross section in the middle of the tent to prevent on 2 sides.... Has anyone ever done this before??? I just dont like the idea of the reflector touching. I have extra A bars to my DR60, but I need to figure a way to rig them to fit. Ideas???

Zipties. I've used twine across the vertical bars. Tied to one bar, then zipped a tie to the other bar loosely, then tied the other end to that. Then I pulled on the tie to crank that string tight.

Twine!!!! Now didn't I think of that??? So you ziptie the vert bars and tie the twine to the zip ties??

I tie twine to one vertical bar, and then I tie the other end to a ziptie that is just looped around the other vertical bar. I try to tie it as taut as possible, because there is give in the twine. When I do the best I can there, I pull that ziptie closed, which gives me better leverage to make it even tighter.

just upgraded to a GL80 and am loving it so far. Was going to go with the new DRII but they were backordered. have a 250 in for now that was in my dr60 (now the veg) but no doubt need to go bigger, this is much bigger than i realized. most likely a 400 for less heat.

Practical Weight Limit for a DR120?

Practical Weight Limit for a DR120?

How much weight has anyone hung from the original DR120? The spec is 65lb (30kg). My plan calls for LED fixtures, fan and filter weighing a total of 60 pounds. It will be evenly distributed across the four ceiling cross rods.
