CLONERS- a collection of various methods Pick a method, any method.

No other area will such disparate results from identical procedures. What saves my crop wipes yours out and vice versa. Domes are the prime example. Many say Domes and 90% humidity are required. Many say domes are death incarnate and should never be used.

The most important thing is resolve. Don't give up, tweak your method till it works or toss it out in favor of another. The day will come when 100% success is the norm and you'll laugh at these days. Really.

clone bubbler above is same excat 1 as in the tutorial
in above pics are 14 clones where approx 3-4 inch tall ohhhhhhh 60 days ago 11-18 and unrooted lmao. oops i did it again :dance013:

i dont cut clones under water i dont use steril instruments i use my bud trimming instruments . and get the above results everytime

so dont give up i tried many methods
rapid rooter plugs _ for me yuk
soil for me yuk
coco was ok
rockwhool good results 98-100%
and the bubbler good results 99-100%

i have a vented dome and nonvented dome for my 50 site rapid rooter clone tray for me was waste of money. except i use the RR 50 site tray to start seedlings in soil in all thats good for in my eyes :dance013:

puff puff passn

oh yea mang use ambient lighting untill clones root to much light kills frsh cuts fast my bubbler sits off to 1 side of the lighting not directly under. directly under my clone lighting are freshly planted clones from bubbler

Home Depot sell this little green house for 20 some dollars

youll be able to fit 5 trays in there

make the cuts , either rock wools or rapid rooters,

throw them in there with a light mist.

wait a week for happy results ;)

cheers,

Question: With the bubble cloner, do you need an air stone/strip or can you just have an open hose from the pump going in the water?

I've just learned cloning and transplanted my first few rooted clones. I love it, it is like being able to multiply plants.

I dont get cloning, was helping my friend yesterday who is a caregiver... took 8 cuttings and put them in root riot cubes with clonex gel and solution. Today they all look dead. Stems are bent over, leaves are wilted. He has been spraying inside the dome a couple times a day, and has 1 26w blue cfl over it. We've tried in the past with similar results, is this normal??

LOL been there done that lol.. Now I have my heating mat and fish tank with lid and I spray a lot for 2 dayz lol lol.. Out of a tray of 10 I rarely lose one. good luck bro peace out Headband707:comfort:

Damn am I the only one that just takes cuts, puts then in a little salt shaker with water, and waits? Works for me, and very simple.

your love/hate of cloning depends on your viewing mentality. I personally think cloning gets repetative, however the end result is more wonderful smoke so i know in the end its worth it. Just like trimming or making hash, when your done your much better off than when you started

I've rooted a clone before just messin around cut it and stuck it in a glass water 2 to 3 weeks later roots. I think obviously you'd use a rooting hormone to speed the rate that the clipping roots.

I'm a lazy cloner. I throw the cuts in water for 7 days or until the wound heals over. Then i stick it in straight earthworm castings since it holds much more water without getting to bad.

Works best for me and no powder or misting. Just gotta soak the pot every 4 days or so

that sure seems like alot of trouble for cloning, hardening off a clone?

im just curious if you've tried without a dome at all? i have never used a dome and i get near 100% in like 10 days or something, in rockwool, pure peat, pure perlite, rapid rooters, jiffy pellets, anything. my RH ranges from 40-50%

peace and puffs

EXACTLY!!!

ive never used a humidity dome and i get at least 95% rooted clones and those that died were b/c of my neglect.

i put my clones in the shade of the mothers and i leave very little vegetation on the cutting and i get roots within 10 days. its been cold and i just had 100% root rate on 13 cuttings and i know the cab temp was at most 78 F.

i know this seems counter intuitive but i dont steralize or clean my siccsors or knife used to take the cut or make the 45 < cut under water. i use 5 yr ols Schultz rooting powder and an unmeasured ammount of SuperThrive.

maybe im lucky but its been working for me for the last few years.

i feel that if the clone has a too humid environment then they have to work less to get H2o and root slower. i dont spray my clones either.

good luck
