So Godbud is Purple skunk?
I thought Federation had purple skunk names Purple Shaman??
I am hella confused.............
Why so much controversy over this?
It should be very clear what I am growing and I haven't the slightest clue. :pointlaug

i have posted it more than once on this thread i think, that on vancouver island (b.c. canada) there is a strain called purple skunk for about 15 yrs.... recently some varietal or other was renamed godbud.

You seem to be the only one who knows.
Not that I don't believe you (and I repect your knowledge) but I would like to hear it from the someone else, too.
There seem to be many different opinions in this thread.

Federation used alot of Vancouver strains in their genetics.
I have their purple shaman they claim is purple skunk and it looks NOTHING like what I have seen from GodBud.
GodBud was not even purple from what I saw of the winning pics?? :bat:

I think hashmaster-kut has the inside scoop here... the moral of the story is that the indoor drug gene pool is much shallower than most people think...

Legit, the reason there is no purple on DVP's God is cause its a Purple Skunk Hybrid. If you drop your temperatures you might get some purp with it, but I doubt it.

I have to believe HMK as he damn sure knows the Pacific NW/Van. scene. I got my 2 Burmese phenos from Vancouver & their some of the finest smoke i've grown in over 15yrs. Full melt to the bone :yummy:

I see where your coming from too LU, & am sure others will eventually chime in with more insite...mabey the 1s that re-named it?

I have GodBud growing right now.
1 female and 1 male.
They have nothing in common with this Federation Purple Shaman aka. Vancouver Island Purple Skunk, below.
Now there is also a BC Godbud which is God x Hawaiian x Purple Indica
Jordons Godbud which I believe is a Purps cross.
And Reffermans Godbud, which looks ALOT like what I got.
Then Dave Van Pots Godbud which I have.
I am not trying to argue, just want real info.
I am still perplexed on the Trainwreck thread as most of what I see don't look like my TW. (although mine finishes in 45days,EXTREMELY sativa, smells like llemon cough drops,and hits like a trainwreck)
I see too many plants called something they are not.

i also have grown and have currently growing god buds, from clone and seed, each dont have any properties of a purple skunk, strong indica high.

DVP's god bud is the God X HawaiianX Purple Indica. He entered it through BCBD seed company in the seed cup division and won first place for Indica seed cup division. DVP is the breeder of the award winning God Bud.
What is in Jordans God Bud is anyones guess....
Award winning God Bud seeds were sold at BCBD's site, but they have since parted ways.

What it was named before he worked with it I dont know. Jordans God Bud and DVP's God Bud are two different types all together. I havent tried Jordans GB but I have heard it was shit. I dunno, just what I heard.
I suppose the best way to get the right answer is to go to the horses mouth, and ask DVP yourself. Im sure he'll have his own opinons of everything.
