indeed im getting a lot of pleasure from the ones that i have cut so far. preliminary smoke reports pheno 5 and 6
the later cut of the SDxCJ pheno 5 is really nice, very tasty and good strong hit. the SD taste isn't as strong as some phenos but it's definitely there and a real treat to smoke. such a shame this pheno showed some pm on the last days. i'm hoping it was due to some of the wood i used from my old grow and not from the plant its self. the mothers are all still clean.
the pheno 6 on the other hand is much stronger in the smell and taste department, not the kind of herb for first thing, will knock ya back and stop ya getting shit done very easily and being so tasty it's very tempting to just sit back and roll another one. all in all this pheno will be a keeper for the foreseeable future. no pm made it on this plant and it was ripe and i mean fully ripe by 8 and a half weeks. test bud i took off at 7 and a half weeks was already a pleasure to smoke. it's not the biggest yielder on this first run but it yields well enough for the high quality of the herb it produces.

you are too kind as ever. even though i will freely admit im quite happy with how things went, and it seems i didnt set my expectations too high. not so sure about pheno 4 which is drying now, after 73 days of 12/12, but the pheno 3 still standing is smelling so incredible and the test bud i took 2 weeks back was already incredible potent. if only it didn't have the hermy thing going, that stuff seems like magic to me. but i will follow your method and test it on others to get further opinions when she is finally cut and dried. interestingly enough, there have been no seeds in places where i didn't make any so far. even the branches i pollinated only made a few seeds, got like 30 seeds from pheno 5 and still have to check the rest of the pollinated bud from pheno 6 and the rest.

i love this cross too. but it's really no hardship to make. would be cool if one could safely send people clones but alas it's totally against the rules here and dangerous as hell to do. but i take your words as a great compliment for my 4 phenos of SDxCJ.

SDxCJ pheno 3 @ day 73 of 12/12
although this pheno seems to have the strongest taste and smell it's kinda clear that she/he will cause me problems sooner or later. although the initial boost of male bananas seemed to stop after i plucked them all at about week 5, they are now starting to show up again in force, in my opinions it's too late as the other plants have been cut and she/he will be today or tomorrow as well, so no chance of pollination. so far im surprised how little seed i got in the 3 harvested plants so far. was expecting it to have the odd seed here and there, what with the hermy being kept and the human easily missing a banana. but so far so good. in fact even the branches i pollinated didnt take all that well lol.

this one is hard to call yet, she has the nice sd resin smell, but she has required a good 14 days longer then pheno 6 and even longer still, then pheno 5. further more she has also shown a certain susceptibility to powdery mildew, which is off putting, specially combined with the 73 days of 12/12. the bud structure is quite interesting, probably not the best bag appeal, not that it matters in the slightest as this is supposed to be head stash weed, but we will see, should be able to test it today or tomorrow.

lol thanks, but it's not hard...coco coir makes the plants grow well
yeah some foxtailing on a couple of them. still don't really have a great camera for decent macros. specially now that im back to using my own. i think the pheno 6 is gonna be my keeper in the end, all the others have some fault or another. making a batch of bubble with only pheno 6 trim should make some amazing bubble.
anyway i should get to trimming the last plant pheno 3, the she-man of the batch LOL.
yeah they made some nice buds all things considered. it's nice to have some plants to work with that are still young and vigorous. am thinking of only doing pheno 5 and 6 next run. those 2 at least finish around the same time. while pheno 4 has taken over 10 weeks and isn't even that special as far as i can tell so far, only just dried it so we will see, maybe cure will intensify it a bit? while pheno 3 would be well worth the 73days of 12/12, if only she didn't have her sexual orientation problem, lol.
anyway enough killing time and general procrastinating, time to get on with pheno 3 so i have the space empty for clean up tomorrow.

edit - sorry for that pm mate! my experience says you can make BHO with good results, with pm infested kolas, the pm wont affect the outcome

Hey g0vnaa, thanks mate. yeah i'm quite happy with these ladies. i will have to stop with pheno 3, as you can't keep picking male buds off lol. mind you its a shame to lose that taste. really hope i can get some to 420, its not super beautiful but it's so tasty! started my next round a while ago, running mostly pheno 5 and 6, with a few 4's to fill the table and 2 pheno 3's near the door, lol. in fact its day 1 of 12/12, but thats another thread.

Looking good ...that is the first purple plant I liked ..the foxtaling is sexy
cheers mate, yeah foxtailing is quite extreme on pheno 3 she/he. this stuff is such a pleasure to toke that i'm really pissed off about the male flower thing.
as always thanks for the input, they have lost that purple color now that it's dry. those pics were taken after a few hours of cutting her down in a lazy kinda way, with many smoke breaks
yeah in fact although i had low temp issues to start with, due to winter weather, towards the end of the run however the temps did make it to 30 once in a while, specially right under the lamps. now that it's getting warmer outside i have been able to increase the ventilation speed a bit which is keeping my max temps in the 26 or max 27 range. but i don't think it was the cause for the male flowers. this same pheno 3 plant did the same thing in week 5 of 12/12, the flowers were just hidden better. but i am giving them another shot just to see what we will see.
i have the new clones on day 4 of 12/12 and they are planted in a sog pattern, 40 clones all fed with drip irrigation. so much easier and the plants seem to transfer smoother with drip feeding. no negative transplant effects at all. but i think i will set my timer to give them a 24 hour watering break once a week. i have seen the plants reacting visibly well to this when its happened by accident and i did it last run with hand watering, so well worth doing again. anyway i think i will make a new thread about the sog run, or maybe not, we will see.

no worries, was only the 1 plant and only right at the end after 11 weeks 12/12. there's hardly any seeds and that stuff is so damn fine and dank to smoke im running the same plant again lol.

SD has some fame for hermies so i guess its what to expect. much like cascadia, lovepotion and many many more.
i got a few crosses we made with a strawberry/sour diesel, but i havent planted much of them. vend flowered one. very sour flavour. i might plant them to see how they are. also like u we only made a few. can be fun to check.

hey gaius, hope all's well with you...curious how this project has turned out so far. Also I had a quick question with the rhizopon AA, if you don't mind. How long do you find it best to leave the clones in the solution before popping them into media? Just curious as you seem to have good success using it, and I want to make sure I get enough hormone to the cuttings.
