Good job sman on gettin your plants back on track..they were lookin kinda rough for a minute there. had us worried. ha
you obviously did the right thing by xplanting them but also you didnt over water which is what some do when they're not careful ..i learned long ago that sometimes, less IS more. Obviously you picked that up along the way. good for you.

imo, I say ditch the dirt ,switch to coco and run a SOG..take a bunch of 4-5 node clones, FIM once they root, veg in beer cups for two weeks, xplant into 6" pots, veg another week, flip.

That there's handroponics LOL :D

Yea man I'm definitely ditching the dirt next round haha. I pretty much HATE dirt now I like to be involved every day with the girls therefore next round, I'm doing a single aero/NFT stinkbuddy jr. style as ill have a new place and more space and I won't have to worry about being in a stealth closet. Although this has been a valuable experiential process, I HATE DIRT

I like that.

Looks great sman! I noticed the Double Gum does like to be topped. I have one pheno that looks like it will finish in about 56 days, but the others are looking like 9-10 weekers.

Oh yes, the Double Gum does indeed LOOOOOOVE to be topped. I could top all new growth once per week and it would just BUUUSH! I know nothing of the taste or bud quality or yielding potential, but I will soon find out, as I have 2 clones running of each plant I currently have. Just hoping to have females would be nice. Next round I'll try out the "Blue Satellite" that came as a freebie with the DG's. It's a lil more expensive strain ($50) as opposed to the $25 DG. Also, I have about 30 lowriders (autos) to play with as well.

:jump::moon::artist:

Oh. I'm pretty sure I've got some pre-pre-flowers. They are tiny and I cannot tell exactly what they are and my camera would not take a decent picture.

Oh, Oh. If anyone has a runt and the room to keep it alive I'd recommend it, because my runt/retard turned out to be very beautiful and is actually the most healthy looking plant out of all of them now =)

Oh, Oh, OH. I also watered yesterday and I might get another problem going soon, although they look really really happy right now! The run-off pH was awfully low, just hurry up and wait I tell myself! If they start acting funny I will do a FLUSH.

Wow man they look great sman :good: great job!

Really low pH eh? What was it at? Did you transplant into more FFOF? If so I wouldn't worry too much about it. What did you water with?

I had a runt C99 that eventually turned out to be the best of the bunch and I kept her as a mom for 3 years... Like you said If you have the room give them all a chance. They might be runts due to grower's error, but have monster genetics :rasta:

Day 52 - Veg Day 38

Day 52 - Veg Day 38

Ok GREAT news today. After I watered and fed them the last time ((2 days ago i believe) I was worried about the low pH. Water ging in was 6.5 and the run off was low.. I'm talkin between 4.5 and 5.) I didn't check on them for 2 days. When I looked today is was kinda scared of what they were going to look like, and to my surprise, I was TERRIFIED. Terrified that Bigfoot or some other jungle creature might be lurking in the rain forest! It's was a beautiful sight!

ALSO, each one has pre flowers! I'm pretty sure I have identified 3 of the 4 as FEMALE!!! They have a little nubby thing with white hairs coming out. Although tiny and hard to see, I bet within a few days they will be a lil bit bigger and I'll know for sure.... On the 4th one... which, BTW, is the oldest one, by 6 whole days, and by far the largest, or shall i say TALLEST, or would be if not for the LST, has not exactly shown white hairs on the nubby thing. Although it would be sad to see that one turn male, as it has a big beautiful, largest single cola, it was untopped, I'm actually hoping it will be MALE. I need the space.

If it is actually female I'll have to either transplant into a smaller pot and cut off some dirt and roots or just cut it down completely. Would be sad to waste a female like that but I ain't got much choice.... OR, depending on my finances, I could just build another small rubbermaid box just for the one.

and finally, EVERY SINGLE CUTTING ROOTED AND ARE HAPPY AS A CLAM. I'm not sure what I'll do with them yet but at least I have them. They all have tons of roots I can see in the clear 8 ounce cups. Sitting under (2) 15watt T5's. (I have an extra fixture with y connectors and 138watts of CFL on standby)

I'll get some pics soon, hopefully before anything goes wrong!

:tiphat::ying::moon:

Oh, and do you think it would be wise of me to go ahead and do a flush before I switch to flower? It would be 45 days of whatever's building up

Hey man congrats on the females :good:

If you do get a male make some seeds, that way you always have a backup. It's easy enough to just pollinate one small bud and get 20-30 seeds for posterity.

Stay Safe sman!

Day 67 - Vegged 43 Days - FLOWER DAY 11

I started BLOOM nutes last water and I could tell a difference overnight. Definitely signs of buddage Chomp :) just, not big enough to get a good pic with my phone cam. So here we go!

Now fore the clones. I tried to keep them small as possible just sort of surviving until I figured out what to do with them. I guess I'll move them outside in the woods and see what happens, they might not get enough sun but I gotta do something with them. Maybe I'll mix them in with the 60 something tomato plants in my garden.

just did my 1st defoliate, I was scared of doing too much never done it before. Now maybe some light can penetrate deeper and work on the lower buds. See how it acts and maybe do more later.

Hey brother, enjoyed reading this thread. I noticed you said "with my phone cam"

Make sure you are deleting those after transferring to your PC. We've all heard the lost cell phone horror stories.

lol. I just read my thread from the beginning. It's funny how much experience you gain with just your 1st grow.

some things i learned not to do.
-don't freak out every time a leaf gets a spot or blemish
-don't over water in the beginning
-don't underwater because you are scared of over watering again!
-don't use cheap duct tape to hold spinning objects around new born plants

Some things I would have done differently
-use the K.I.S.S. method (keep it simple stupid!)
-flush the soil more often
-start nutes earlier
-start 12/12 much earlier

Yes it is...one of the best ways to keep track of what works and what doesn't is to keep a log...online or in a notebook it's pretty useful...

Looks like this grow is going to turn out for you though!

Day 81 - Vegged 43 Days - FLOWER DAY 25

Day 81 - Vegged 43 Days - FLOWER DAY 25

Lets just get straight to it. Quite a bit of frosting going on but hard to see it in the pics. "DG4" is making the biggest buds so far. upped the nutes an no burning. 25 days of flower and lots of the hairs are turning red, donno when they supposed to do that because I've still got 30+ more days left in flower for my 8-9 week flowering period.

some of the buds are gettin burnt by the light and i cant lower the pots anymore so im going to have to get another rubbermaid and make a triple stack. It's the only way I'll be able to raise the lights. then, raise the plants as needed. then, hopefully they will not get any taller!
ill make pics when its completed.
