Not to cause more argument over this topic, but out of curiousity, what causes you to say it's a fact that he is a citizen?

I'm not completely on top of the recent facts brought up, and I really don't care enough about it to study it, but as far as I know he has not produced his actual birth certificate, correct?

It would be simple enough to end the debate if he were to do so. Why do you think it is that he has not?

Maybe they want this debate? Stir up a little controversy? I dunno, just wondering whatcha think.

He provided it in 2008. Can't believe birthers are so ignorant. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

haha laughingmoon, are you saying that I'm a birther? I'll admit I'm ignorant on this topic. It just seems like you meant that as an insult.

Are you kidding me? the Governor of Hawaii says no birth certificate exists for him in Hawaii.

The gov said...

You can't have Barak Obama's official birth certificate, it lists private information like home address, delivering physician, etc.

But you can have this "certificate of live birth" which the State of Hawaii certifies as authentic proof of citizenship.

Then he probably cracked a Birther joke, something to the effect they wouldn't know a security clearance if it bit em in the ass.

That is his 'short form' certificate. I believe the controversy is because he refuses to release his long form certificate from the hospital, and there is no record of his birth at any hospital in Hawaii. His wife and grandmother are both on record saying he was born in Kenya. I dunno I'm just sayin..

Personally I don't really care. The man is president and America overwhelmingly voted for him so we have to live with it.

But people like you are so angry at 'birthers' when I think they have some valid points.

Nope, I didn't point a finger at you, unless you happen to be a birther.
Like you said, the guy is in the white house, someone harping on the idea that he may or may not be a US citizen is pointless.

Wow no shit he actaully said he saw the long term certificate but they just couldn't show it because of private info? OK I was under the impression he was unable to find it, or any record of his birth at a hospital. But if that's the case then I stand corrected.

the only thing that lends "birthers" any credence is the white house refusal to answer the subpoena in the Stefan F. Cook matter....

Since that's as broad as it is long, what causes you to say he's not?

If you're not on top of things

and you really don't care enough to bother

You might be a Birther.

Obama doesn't have to provide dip. It's called security clearance. Bush's State Department vetted Obama's credentials. The FBI would have done a full background check if they hadn't already for Obama's days as a senator.

Maybe they want this debate? Stir up a little controversy? I dunno, just wondering whatcha think.

Man, I wasn't challenging your last post I was basically saying that's cool that he found the certificate and I stand corrected. No need to start shit.

Since that's as broad as it is long, what causes you to say he's not?

I never said I believe he is not now did I? It was just a question and I remain undecided.

If you're not on top of things

and you really don't care enough to bother

You might be a Birther.

If that's what constitutes a birther then most of the population must be birthers as well, because I'd say most people aren't researching this stuff, and don't care. Conversely, birthers do care apparently and are more on top of the latest details on this issue than most and are very vocal about it or else this wouldn't be an issue.

If that is true then it is a lame argument that birthers bring up. If he is the first president to be asked to bring forth this documentation then I'll admit it is kinda fucked up.

But having researched a little bit now I find that Abercrombie said he couldn't find the certificate, or any proof that he was born in Hawaii. And I just listened to the Mike Evans interview about Abercrombie, which also casts some doubt. So, now I am undecided again.
