Anyone had any calmag issues using Formulex to feed young uns in plain coco?

I usually start em in a light soil/coco mix or straight coco then start feeding them at 1ml per litre with Rhizotonic at 4ml per litre but dont ph the nutes until they are two to three weeks old, maybe a little bit if you are using Rhizo...

I gave a pinch of epsom salts with my last watering and they have noticeably greened up so I think it was mag def. Formulex isn't coco specific so looks like it hasn't got enough mag in it for cuttings in coco. I'll go back to using veg coco nutes when I've used up this Formulex.

Easy Bruv

Been using plant magic boost for a while (couple of years), use it ever time I water 5ml per litre mixed in with the bloom also 5ml per litre from about week 4ish.

Have had to do the odd flush, and one plant did have a bit of bud rot a couple of times i ran it.

Not all the shops I use still stock it so been looking for a change....

Cheers rudedog, guess I was stoned when I read that and got confusled!

What is in Plant Magic Boost? Is it their version of PK13/14?

formulex wiv coco works as good as any other nute ,especially for clones ,ec 1.0 ph 5.8 never failed with formulex

check your water quality and the condition of the mother plant .

put clones in coco soaked with formulex into propagator leave for 5 days ,then open vents ,,should get roots any day after :tiphat:

That's what I've always found too but recently been having severe browning of the leaf edges, looks like mag def. I've switched to feeding em Vitalink Veg nutes at ec 1.0 and hoping they bounce back. other veg tent is fine, they been getting the Vitalink because they are big plants.

got a question for the peeps in the know :)

i've always used canna base nutes with headmasta and pk 13/14 added during flower but on this run i fancy a change , i'm not into making my own OR spending huge amounts of £££ on nutes so whats my best option ??

i've got loads of nutes (unopened) from the mcr expo last year and was thinking about trying them before they go off , here's what i've got

4L dutchpro coco (bloom)
2L plagron cocos
2.5kilo AN ultimate super boost
1L dutchpro explode

plus a few more bottles i've yet to look at

has anyone got any expirience with any of these or shall i just bin the lot and stick with canna , headmasta and pk ??
i'm open to buying a full new range of nutes but don't want to go over the top price wise..

any advice and info would be appriciated

thanks

Dutch pro is supposed to be a fairly good nute. Any better than Canna - prob not.

plagron coco feed is rubbish!

The AN stuff I would leave.

Perhaps try H&G if you fancy a base feed. And drop that PK 13/14 for Canadian Express Superior Potash (9/18)

i'll use the dutchpro for flower with potash instead of pk 13/14 :)

would you still add headmasta or go with the explode ?

i've got enough canna nutes left for the vegging plants to see em through till next pay day lol

thanks

What's bad about the Plagron Cocos Herb?

Never used it myself but do like the Plagron Alga stuff and a few of their other products.

Headmasta has no PK in it, it's just a quality enhancer so I see no reason you couldn't use it with the Explode.

Nothing really bad with PG feed. Its just really dilute. So that in my sense makes it a bad product as you will eat through 2 x as much as say with Canna or H&G as an eg.

Love their soil tho... Dam that stuff rocks.

Yeah I have used Head masta with all sorts of feeds. I liken it most to Canna boost in its effects. Works great with a light line up of adds, but if your like me and use loads of adds to their best advantage then I found using head masta a waste as it made no difference.

However, my mate who only uses A&B, bud xl and pk gets bigger and better results when using Headmasta.

cheesey

i find its best to keep feed simple . no point useing shit loads of additives what leave your buds tasteing like ass even after a good flush .

all i use is canna A/B , regen a root , headmasta , and potash (insted of canna pk13/14 ) . a good 2 week flush of plan water and jobs a good un . taste buds .

anyone done a side by side ..canna pk13/14 versus potash or hammerhead ,,

it seems strange that canna still using the 13/14 ratio if its not as good as 9/18
