Blue satellite 2.2 opinions?

I recently got a few packs of BS 2.2 freebies. What I would like to know is, has anyone found an exceptional keeper pheno in these beans? Something that you will keep for the long haul? I'm exceptionally space limited, so I only really want to go for it if there's a good chance of finding some gold. All opinions welcome.

Check out Wierd Jimmy's thread on his BS 2.2 I believe he found quite the keeper , I believe it was a very close representation of DJ's sativa blueberry mother used in the cross

I believe theirs some Sweet Tooth #3 in that strain as well but don't hold me to it.. I have a 5 bean pack myself..

in my experience the line was completely dominated by males, as well as the bluebonic. its a sad day when you throw down 50 beans and 38 come up male.

What you can expect in my experiences with it are medium yields, dark purple by half way through flowering, but a great tasting speciman. Very good bag appeal, and likes more milder of a diet.

That's what mine was like....

This seems like such a beautiful strain. Can anyone post an image of what the actual seeds look like??? I am a seed lover, it's been said the beans are HUGE, would love to see 'em! Dank you berry much!

I'm pretty sure it's SWT#3 and Blueberry...

I've got a 5-seed freebie pack growing now. It's too soon to tell if there are keepers for certain, but so far I'm extremely excited about one of them. It appears to be leaning far to the BB side like Weird Jimmy's, smells absolutely lovely when you do a stem/leaf rub, and other than the fact that it doesn't seem to like my current soil mix as much as I'd like, has been growing quite vigorously.

I've got cuttings of them all, since I'm pretty confident that if they turn out anything like I expect based on what I've seen so far, there will definitely be at least one keeper :)

I only popped 5 seeds. Found 1 female. It was prone to flowering in veg, although it's been suggested that smart pots might help. Since apparently the SWT doesn't like to be root bound.

I found it flavorful, rock hard, beautifully colored, with a unique sweet watermelon candy like smell. I have a nice jar of it and will be digging in these seeds again in the future. I bought 2 packs over the holidays and have 3 or 4 packs of freebies. So I'll be seeing it again one day.

I have been popping a lot of Blubonic over the last year. I haven't ever had a bad experience with M/F ratio. You must have bad luck.

I agree, you will have plenty of Sweet Tooth dominant traits from it since it is half Sweet Tooth and I think for some reason the F2's favored the Blueberry Sativa mother but the Swt genes are there waiting to be tapped into and to shine. Really both parental sides are highly desirable. :canabis:

Just look at The Pablos cross of it with Casey Jones in his World on a String thread they really do look amazing

THE PABLOS

I've taken the 2.2 into the next generation using both the BBS phenotype and SWT phenotype as moms....and a few males if I recall correctly.

In the World on a String thread...I've recently(today and yesterday) posted pix of an outcross using a Casey Jones female....also buried way back in that thread is a cross to CBF's Straw Dog that was fruitful.....

I grow many DJ Short related plants...and have found...thus far...the BS 2.2 my favorite "Blue Line" to outcross with. I'm taking many of my outcrosses down the line so to speak....going into other generations.

I'm not interested in the politics surrounding any of Steve's work....I just grow the plants as objectively as possible....and take what I can for my own projects. I'm fairly well rounded when it comes to growing the Blues.

My opinion of the 2.2 (Koot had input on selections) is...high. It outcrosses very nicely. IMO....you need to dig into the 2.2 when running it straight....but BBS phenotypes are common as are SWT phenotypes....dig in and find the expressions that suit your taste....and if you are getting them as freebies...nice...even better.
