My Medical Dream Room: 6000w

I have finally made my way out to a legal state and am in the process of constructing my first major grow room. I am just going to use this thread as sort of a picture/video dump. I will probably only just provide a caption with each picture - not a big fan of typing :p But, if you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask.

Dimensions are 14x20 and I will do the first run with no more than 6000w. Hopefully in the future it will expand to 12k.

YEAH! What a great space to work with! What medium are you going to be growing in? What strains? clone/seed?

Everything looks really clean, do you use rookwool for the walls ?

Added a layer of wood and then dry wall and hung the door. We wanted to put plywood up for added security and the dry wall for aesthetics. The door is a steel door for security along with a deadbolt.

Up next: paint the wall, cover inside with panda plastic, install exhaust, hang ballasts and hoods.

Does anyone have any good ideas on how I can hang up the panda plastic onto concrete walls? I dont want to use glue or anything because it will be a PITA when I need to take it down. The best thing I can come up with so far is to get some 2x2's and kind of frame the room and staple it to them. Is there any type of industrial sticky tack?

I haven't decided on medium yet...either 5gal hempy buckets or coco. I have used hempy buckets and love them but have never grown large plants with them. I have never used coco before and am a bit worried on how to construct a proper drip irrigation - i always hear horrors of uneven watering. If I go the hempy bucket route I would just hand water. I do not want to hand water with coco though. As for strain - I will be doing Pure Power Plant... I wanted to do my first run with a commercial strain. I will start with 10 unfem'd seeds and pick a monther then take 35 clones and pick the best 28.

I think you meant dry wall, if so then yes.

how are you cooling the room? what kinda power do you have backing this room up?

The room will be powered with 100 amps. I could use some suggestions on how to go about cooling the room. I cannot afford an AC as of yet so it will have to be air cooled. I was thinking of using a 10in inline fan attached to a large carbon scrubber exhausted out of the room. I will also need another inline fan eventually to attach the hoods. What size fan would be suggested for x6 1000w air cooled hoods?

And are the Super Sun 2 hoods still the best bang for the buck?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about doing this?

Hey man, you're looking like you're off to a great start! When I did my big grow, I was cooling every pair of 600's (1200) with about 500cfm (1 fan per pair of lights)..

60 amps? I hope you're running ballasts wired for 220v.

Use he industrial strength 2" wide Velcro in 20' lengths. It goes on fast. Is adjustable and comes off clean.

Started insulation and hung the ballasts. Electrician is coming tomorrow to wire a 100A subpanel in the room. I also have started seed germination. This first run will include 24 Pure Power Plant, 2 Kandy Kush, and 2 Dutch Passion Blueberry.

Rockwool cubes are soaked in a solution that consists of:
- 5ml liquid karma
- 6ml hygrozyme
- 1ml super thrive
- PH @ 5.5

I still need to decide what medium to use...either coco or hempy buckets. What do you guys think?

It's kinda too bad there isn't running water and at least 1 floor drain in that room.

That is a task I have to do in my room this summer too. I hate not having running water close to work with.
I am gonna bust out part of the concrete floor and put in a couple floor sump sinks and a set of free standing sinks with hot/cold running water.

Nice start! I recently built a basement facility with a backbone capable of sustaining 12k. Right now tho, due to cost restrictions its only running at 3k.

Also in a medical state, and cant wait to push my room to its limits.
