can someone tell me if i did this correctly. i figured out a way to put on my scrog net so hopefully when i change to flower i can keep the height down.
my only concern is when into flower and my plants start budding on the net, the leaves and buds are going to block off light to the lowrider. i guess this is my noob mistake for putting a lowrider strain in my cab with 2 bigger plants.
tomorrow is my day to star flower, any suggestions to do before hand?

during the stretch is a good time to train them into the net..... the low low, can you prop her up on something to her up the same canopy height.

Nice plants. My first plant got waaaaay too big for my setup also.
Maybe it's just the camera angle, but it looks to me like you could move those lights closer to the canopy. You can get CFLs real close without any harm. I keep mine like an inch above at all times. And it's always good to have a fan blowing between the bulbs and the canopy.

well i got two 150 watt cfls today, i switched to flower too. soo much rootage when i cleaned out the rez.
quetion any electricians that can help me with a problem??

what did you do to fix it when it grew too big? yea with the new cfls i got today they are about an inch.
i cant raise the plants.
im haveing a fan problem. i have a diy scrubber but i cant find the damn fan anywhere.

here is my diy carbon filter. i think it came out alot better than my cab lol
i used pvc because i got too fustrated with the people at the store. how can you work at a home depot and not know wtf a duct cap is.
i dont have the carbon filter wrapped around it because i havent found where to get a sheet of carbon filter...uhrr but it is filled with activated carbon. i cant smell a thing tho with it attached to my cab!
here are the parts for my diy carbon filter.
pvc duct cap,x2 ( 3 inch and 5 inch)
pvc reducer
really strong chicken wire
pantyhose
great stuff gap filler ( put in bottom of caps )
activated carbon
inductor inline bathroom fan
washer dryer tubing
total cost $34
im goin to post more pics later of my scrog so far.gotta wait for the lights to come on.
the ak is starting to bud but the other 2 have some more time i guess.

so after tying back some leaves about 4days ago, come today i found some mold on a couple leaves.
im sooooooo pissed.
but i guess its part of the learning process.
i cut the leaves away that had mold and freed up and bunched together leaves.
my scrog net is doing its job. im tying down so more budsites to it so they dont overcrowd some areas of the cab.
im really regreting growing 3 different strains.
i should have stuck to 2 that way i wont be goin through this bush problem
im going to finish up and post pix when im done....
im going to post pix of my cab too to let everyone know what im working with.
advice to anyone rubbermaid and scrog together are a pain in the anus....at least my grow is lol

excuse the pix. i found a OG link earlier today talking about using a magnifying glass to get trichome shots.wasnt that great because how my cab is setup but pretty good.

yea i kinda fubared my scrog but i just tied everything down to the net...main reason is 3 plants in my small cab and how long i let them veg for. so i noted my mistakes and not making it on my next grow.
im trying really hard to get everything right.
my filter is attatched and man you cant smell a thing....well only a little right after the lights cut off but thats it.
i plan on turning this cab into a dry box when im done.

i havent updated this in a while. here is whats going down.
i harvested about 3 weeks ago. i let them dry for about a week and a half hanging in my dry box. started cure. i had 13 mason jars full of la woman and white widow. now in the last couple of days ive been noticing mold growing in the jars. even with scheduled opening and closing the mold still came. so i only have about 4 good non mold jars.
as far as ive read the main reason why mold would appear is because the bud were still moist. i guess my bad call of judgement ruined most of my harvest. i would say i have about 175 grams of bud and 120 of that has mold.
im very sad at the moment but i guess this is what happenes when you dont doublecheck how dry it is before you cure it.
made it all the way to the end just to get knocked down by mold....

i don't see the point in trimming if it's not absolutely necessary.

well i didnt pack them in, i left them open enough so they werent all smooshed in. but yea...gone....i cant explain how mad i am but hey, its my fault. just learn from it

Don't trim your plants (from seed) before 5 nodes, you're just hurting them
i feel for you dude, that sounds truly shitty. but as you said , live and learn, its all good.
if anything just realize that you are atleast in a position to grow your own and dont have to go "hunting" anyone down for anything. although it may be easy for most of us, im sure, but imo you never know whos watching who so better safe than sorry.
