Well the good news is that once the waters drop you should have some very fertile soil with all the river mud and stuff...

Bad news is bananas might go to $20 a kilo... just as we are being warned about worldwide (artificial) food scarcity...

Good luck and best wishes to anyone in the flood zone.

O yeah and the silver lining is the dams are all gonna be full and the Murray Darling has been saved i hear...!

Stick that in your pipe Tim Flannery!

Amazing scenes coming out of QLD.
Brisbane is next in the firing line, there goes the surplus.

All good were on high ground......giving refuge to some friends who had to leave their home......

Hope everyone here is safe and dry!!

Good luck to those in Ipswich and Brissy over the next couple of days.

Wow yeah it looks insane on the news tonight.

Why wasnt there a wee bit of warning or was there??

Lets hope there are good crops elsewhere in Oz or we will find food becomes painfully expensive.

All the more reason to get into permaculture and feeding yerself. Water is life...

I've been through bushfire and flood . It's not fun, people die, families torn apart, the land ripped apart. Think very carefully about what you treasure and you may understand.

I read yesterday that the floods not only have to do with La Nina, but also that the Indo-Australian Plate is moving.I don't know if something is said on the Australian TV about it.

Watch these videos.

Alex Jones talks with meteorologist and astrophysicist Piers Corbyn. He is the owner of Weather Action which makes weather forecasts up to a year in advance. Corbyn is well-known for his opposition to the idea of anthropogenic global warming.

He explains how he accurately predicted the Pakistan floods, Russian heatwave and the QLD floods...

Accurate because he studies the sun and the moon.

Thanks for the info.I saw him in 2007 about the prediction of a huge storm on Dutch TV.I agree with him that the sun & moon has much influence on the earth weather, but also on earthquakes specially the sun.

Plenty of grows on hold in Brisbane with power outages affecting large areas.

In all the years I have been coming to ICMag, this is the first reference I have ever seen about Alex Jones.

I love that guy. He'd make Ayn Rand move to her back foot.

FYI, he was the guy driving around with the loudspeaker on his car in the movie, "Through a Scanner Darkly".
