You only have to watch "Britain's secret farms" to see how obvious and fettered the BBC's agenda is regarding the entire topic of pot smoking and marijuana culture.
What is the title of your documentary?

i think the BBC is worth 10 of any other broadcaster in the world, and to make a decision about what a show is going to be like before it's even made shows narrow mindedness and bias on the part of the accuser. i would be happy to contribute.

True

Also, 'Britains secret farms' was actually unbiased, some people just remember the bad & not the good that program showed

anyone watch it? it was a disgrace... claiming skunk again is genetically engineered... utter nonsense - shame on you Bart

Edit: and having a doc say that rocky is better than Skunk etc utter utter nonsense.

i emailed bart on jan the 7th , this was his reply

Hi Cheesey,

It wasn't our documentary thankfully as I agree I felt they got some facts wrong and used too many typical stoner stories. Ours might be going out on Jan the 27th but not 100% confirmed yet. Will pop a post on IC Mag when we know.

Cannabis Doc

Hi All,

Just wanted to say that the cannabis doc 'How Drugs Work' was not the one I approached you all here for help on. Our one is looking like its going out in a couple of weeks on Thursday nights but nothing confirmed yet. Keep your eyes in the schedules for 'Cannabis: What's The Harm?'. Hope you all tune in and enjoy it.

Thanks all.

Bart

Call me cynical.
Another BBC marijuana documentary made with the cops.
A great way to get a balanced view of the harm of marijuana smoking by responsible adults. Ask the cops to help, as they don't have an axe to grind or anything. It's not like drug seizures go toward assigning next year's police budgets or anything.
Do you think they'll get the police to go on camera in the UK and say,
"actually, pot smokers are calm and non-troublesome. The people who are a real danger to themselves and others are the alcohol drinkers. If everyone would smoke pot instead of drink, the streets and emergency rooms of Britain would be dramatically better and safer places."
No. The police know that this is true. Not what their bosses or the BBC want to see them say on the television though.

So, as they've run out of any other credible dangers to throw at it, what are the chances we'll get another dose of
!!!marijuana psychosis!!!
And no figures showing a statistical incidence of the same. Just an anecdotal mention that doctors see the numbers rising. There will be nothing regarding it's occurrence as compared to mental illness from alcohol, and nothing regarding the numbers of people dying each day directly from alchohol consumption.
It's the BBC.
While nothing is completely safe- not taking a swim, having sex, and certainly not taking a drive in the car, some things have benefits, and risks. Not tobacco smoking though, it doesn't have any benefits.
Why have a documentary regarding the safety of something which carries such an infinitesimal risk? Hmm...
Is drinking too much coffee every day harmful to your health?
Should cigarettes be legal if pot is not?
Has anyone anyhere ever died from marijuana poisoning?
What is the number of domestic violence incidents related to cannabis which the police respond to in the UK each day? Month?
What are the chances any of these questions will be asked on this balanced look at the dangers of smoking marijuana?

Please prove me wrong and watch me beg your forgiveness for doubting your integrity. Seriously.

Same here!

Same here!

After a lot of deliberation I called the number in the opening post and spoke to an assiatant who is working on this film. After twenty minutes plus of conversation he took my email address telling me he would be intouch after the weekend with a view to arranging a meeting. That was over a week ago and I have heard nothing.

There's a need to develope trust in a venture like this. Inviting people to contact you then not keeping to what you say afterwards isn't the way to do it.

I have been contacted by Doc-U-Maker, been on the phone a couple of times with him and left him with a couple of questions that seemed important to me at the time. He was supposed to get back to me with some answers and with a date&location for our first meeting.
I went through some shit with the missus just because of this...she's much smarter and wiser then i am:dance013:
But sadly i didn't get ANY further contact...not even a polite excuse just in order for me to close this chapter :moon:
That's kind of rude and reminds me of bad stoners attitude...ask people for a party and then forget all about them:moon:
This said i will keep my eyes peeled for the documentary but i am not expecting nothing new:ying:

Hahaha i saw the docu if it is "How Drugs Work" I specifically liked the bit that stated that when growing in a 24 hour light cycle your plants produce more THC then CBD. I didn't know it was possible to flower these plants in 24 hour light schedule perhaps they can elaborate more on this.
I also loved the inaccuracy to the background of Skunk. Apparently they have never sought to figure out the breeding history of weed...
I think its also a bit of shame that the doco was only focussing on THC and a bit on CBD, and not properly focus on the all other cannabinoid compounds that we have (CBN, for example) and haven't gotten knowledge of.
The other documentary on Cannabis, made by BBC a couple of years earlier, gave basically exactly the same information.
Nevertheless enjoyable but completely meaningless...
