I have a january 4th doctors appt keeping me here, after that I'm thinking of heading west in my motor home for the rest of the winter.

where to go & how to safely get there are just two concerns.

FREEZing its 57f avg the past 3 days and its been raining in So Cal. Still wearing shorts tho, gota rock these shorts I just bought em.

Gona be nice to check out the local falls when it stops raining. In order for em to be fallin you gota get a good rain, its pretty damn dry around here.

Soon enough it will be 80f. Then I can I pretend Im in australia, just wondering why everyones calling each other "asshole" instead of "mate"

This is getting a bit silly, fucking -14c or 6.8f here last night and now it's lashing snow again..

2 fires blazing and the oil heating on constant and the house is still freezing, today i had to insulate my grow tents and buy 2 electric heaters for them just to keep the temps in the low 20's.

I'm not a happy bunny.

that's what I dig the most about Minnesota, an overabundance of fresh water both above & below ground.

I have a shallow well (9/10 feet deep) for outside watering duties and a deep well (just 60' deep) for home use and consumption. I would likely hit another aquifer @ 250-300' but why bother.

take any town up here & draw a 10 mile radius around it to find about 80-100 lakes, rivers, ponds to enjoy, lake country, it's why I decided to stay here.

It's cold enough so that when the lights are not on, I have to run heat in the grow room! And the grow room when the lights are on is much warmer than the rest of the house. I'll probably go sit in there and read later on.

that really sounds like an opportunity to run some LowRyder beans that go 24/0 keeping your grow at a constant temp.

Anyone care to recommend a good set of knobbly snow tyres?

It's -5c 8" of powder on the ground, it'll be well over 16" by morning and I've been invaded by zombie dogs :peek:

On the plus side work rang today and told me to take the next 2 days off (paid) and they will see me Jan 4th after the holidays :)

about 12~18 inches got dropped here last night depending on location and drifting. I'm waiting to get dug out as I can't even walk up to my wheels atm.

sure could use a gallon of milk right 'bout now :chin:

BIG plus is that there's now a 20" base of good snow for our snowmobile trails, riders will be out by the hundreds.

right through the middle of my property runs what we locals call SnoWay 1 a big trail that links up to over 450 miles of continuous snowmobile trails built on railroad grades, takes those flat trails to thousands of miles of Forestry roads and trails up hill and dale, along lakes and rivers too. by the weekend the sledders will have this place sounding like a hornets nest.......

Nope, ironically Southern Ont has gotten more snow than us. We seem to be the only place in the world not getting crazy weather :D

You can have some of ours.....-16c one night, 2 nights later it's +10c and now it's going back into the - figures again.
I seriously need to get a few of those climate control boxes for the tents, it's a pain in the ass trying to get stable temps with the way the weather is fluctuating.
