Pre-paid Visa gift card -- Transaction Denied

I've used these in the past for every SBoo order i've made. The normal prepaid $100 VISA, I never had to register it or anything just buy the card come home get online and use it. I haven't made any SBoo orders lately so i'm not sure if it has changed. I saw a post on here somewhere in which someone was saying VISA was changing the prepaid cc's ordering ability online or for oversea purchases. I think they said it was going into effect 2010 or 2011. Would be nice to know, cause of the hassle I have sending out my SBay mo. Plus it costs me so much more to send the mo with overnight delivery at the FedEx office, then the simplicity of buying the cc and going home and making my purchase in the privacy of my own home, plus they get their money at the time of transaction and don't have to wait til it gets there from shipping (which isn't always overnight even thought you pay for it to be). Also the emails that keep you up to date are very helpful when ordering from the Boo.
I also would like to know if the VISA cc still work. Can't email currently and I don't have an extra $100 to put on a card that will only be used to order beans. I use cash for most of my other purchases and having my money on a prepaid cc isn't pratical for me right now. Basically if the cards don't work anymore I don't want anymore cards. Take care 1

i have a 50$ prepaid visa card, i have register the card, gypsy send me a e-mail AVS and Cvv wrong, .... ive check twice and still ok , i contact visa, and they tell me its OK , I have send a message to order@seedboutique, whit a screen shot of the information of visa card, ... and they still no answer me , im waiting for those seed for long time now , and i need it, what can i do ?

In order to pay by credit card the shipping address MUST match the billing address on the card. Additionaly, your card issuer must provide full AVS checking or your order will be rejected. Most banks today provide this but there are some that do not, if all the information you submited is correct and your order is declined this is probably why.

so I had some thing go wrong with one of my CC purchase order from the boo 2
order placed on nov 30 with CC and my status was awaiting payment , but 2 weeks later still no dice , I guess one of the cardholders cards I use was rejected , one worked however and my sour lifesavers were shipped out, the rejected card had a chip?, not sure if that had anything to do with it.....?

These gift card accounts are (1). Kinda up in the air, you place an order and computers gotta scramble to get the money, who's vouching for where it's coming from and the addresses and also the vendors info versus just pulling money out of a verified account and paying. (2) Paypal and Visa gift cards can misuse you're info for soliciting, I ordered attitude gifts with greendot visa fine, no problems, it's a verified account with my name on there and they won't release you're account info to ANYONE except the Feds IF they ever demand you're info but, after a ebay hps light purchase with paypal gift card I start seeing pot/shaman ads on youtube, go figure. Suggested being careful using anything but greendot prepaid, money orders, cash, or secure bank account unless you want to getbombarded with green/mj junk mail, although their adsense ads are lively.

he return me 1 e-mail, he said again my avs was wrong ... its not wrong , i got my card in my hand ... the same day i tryed too purchase some seeds at XX and it work perfecly ,
the probleme was not in my side, cause it work at other place...
like i said, the delay was so long whit gypsy ... never go there again , maybe its a good place, but no service there... i got mine from in 7 days!, this is grreat

I do know that is not in his control...it's what the bank tells him. The bank declines based on non matching AVS and passes that message to Gypsy and Gypsy passes to you. This would be a bank issue, not really in Gypsy's control. Also, did you try to email him back within like 24 hrs?If so the email got bounced as spam and he never got the 2nd one.

I have used a same name and addy registered to a prepaid card for all my growing related purchases ... it takes a little research as, like stated above, not all card do international purchasing. But once you have one that does and you register the info properly and verify they typed it in correctly (have them read it back to you slowly when you are sober) then you should be good to go.

The Boo's bank is a picky ass when it comes to rejecting credit cards, never seen a place that rejects more then them, and you also have a pending transaction hold on your funds while you wait for them to be released back to your card.
It would be the perfect seedbank if not for the CC BS.

Do realize that if you are in the states that CC programs have been changing since 9/11.
I have found out that even my regular CC and debit cards from my bank have default international limitations now. If I am going to be out of the country or make international purchases with them I need to call them and open up a purchasing time window for each and every country I will be making purchases from.
i.e tell them I will be making regular purchases from Germany from Jan 16th thru March 4th.
It took me a lot of research to figure out what was wrong and why my purchases (xmas gifts a couple years ago) were not going thru. Even the first 3 customer service reps I talked to didn't know of the new policy. I took me talking to a senior manager before we figure out that this was the issue. I've been good to go ever since using this method for my regular CC usage (none grow purchases).
I used the same card for many orders well after 9/11 and it worked fine, then all of a sudden it get's declined, then another card that worked many times before it gets declined.
I finally had to get a simons gift card(paid for with declined by boo CC) before I could finally get an order through.
Not going to mention names, but I know at least 3 international seedbanks you can use any old CC you want at without problem.

I had the same problem with a Visa $100 gift card this fall. I used the same exact gift card with success this summer. I went and bought the identical one again this fall for an order, and it was a no go. Triple checked all my info.
Definitely a bit of a hassle, money orders for me from now on anyhow. The guaranteed shipping hurts a little, but they give out good freebies for those orders so its cool.

I've tried xx andxx and had my debit card declined each and every time. I haven't been able to find any good current information on which exact prepaid work. Does the gift card require your SSN? Can it be used at either of the above seed banks? Thank you much
