I understand that the standard strategy is to just throw it under a frugal/clean friends name. But watching (bad) television this morning, the cops made reference to a network of financial maneuvers this dealer made that allowed him to bypass the prying eyes of the FEDS for so long.

Howdeydodat? I always wondered how people can live like capitalist kings, yet somehow stay under the radar.

my uncle owns a dozen properties...he isnt some gangsta or underground kingpin. hes just a guy who bought a house when he was in his twenties...flipped it, and after 40 years buying/flipping and renting out hes making 100k+ every year just off his rent profits...

id imagine just become a property landlord in real life...and maybe mask some of your grow profits into your rents somehow.

people that live like cocky kings always go down. you need to be modest and you need to be able to account for how you can afford what you have. The real estate idea from yes4prop215 is excellent. Just buy a house and sell it for a profit or rent it out. then buy a house to live in. this will start a legit

I used the term "gangsta" in a sarcastic way. I'm not asking about money laundering. I'm not "trying to be a gangsta." I'm wondering if there was perhaps anyone knowledgeable of the very specific situation I described; the police were talking about how an individual had bypassed the tax eyes of the FEDS using a barrage of complicated financial re-routing for tax purposes (Ie, not your standard money laundering). I enjoy reading about this type of stuff. It sparked my curiosity, and I wondered if anyone had any idea what could be involved.
