Tea with my soil mix?

M

Mr-B

I mixed up the following this round:
2 bags FF Ocean
2 cups ea. of bone and blood meal
1/2 cup epsom salt
1-1/2 cups lime
10% Pearlite
5% vermiculite
3 cups of black gold sand

I've never used the FF soil before, will I need to add a tea or nutrients with this mix? My hopes were this soil would take me all the way through harvest.
The plants are loving this mix, growth doubled in the 1st five days.
I'm planning on watering today, so I'll check the PH then.

Will post up some pics later.

Thanks all.

The 1st link is for people using ORGANIC methods of growing which I'm not.

The 2nd link is a how to grow marijuana thread which might be helpfull if this was my first time growing.

Thanks anyway.

I believe that the ocean forest runs a little hot. I would suggest happy frog for younger plants & O.f for older plants. I believe the soil should provide adequate feeding for around a month, then you should run nutes. I rarely mix full strength nutes unless the plant is beggin for food.

Thanks for the post TG.

My seedlings (2 weeks old now) were planted in Light Warrior with a little extra perlite added.
My clones were unusually large and went straight into the soil mixture in my first post.

Everything has settled in nicely.

Have a great Thanksgiving

You might beable to get away with no nutes through veg but your gonna want to alternate the teas your talking about with a established nutrient. at least thats what i do. i use age old organics and guano teas alternatly up until its time to flush then just clean water with small amounts of mollasis. Thats what i do, and im very happy with my results and havent found a reason to stray.

You are tripping right...?? You say you aren't growing organically...but then what the hell is bone/blood meal, lime, epsom salts, etc...and then you are asking about teas. I think you are clueless...and to think that you tried to tell me to be lucky that someone gifted info to me...:joint:

so if you aren't growing organically, could you explain to use how exactly you're going to grow non organic weed, using only organic materials. I gotta hear about this....i could bottle and sell that shit!

I'm using GH chemical fertilizers which most people who grow organics consider a soil grow, not an organic grow.
I'm not looking for a full organic, lacto billi style of operation.
I always run hydro other than a couple outdoor soil grows over the years. Unfortunately, I had to move my grow to another location and time constraints didn't allow me to setup the hydro.

Solarz, right now I'm being nice trying to put the other thread behind me, I would appreciate if you would do the same.

Peace,

cool...i agree, and i will do the same. But honestly, i don't think that it would do you any benefit of mixing and running organics as well as chem ferts at the same time. Thats why i didnt understand how you were planning on using Bone/blood meal and it not being an organic grow.

Maybe you could explain your idea of using both the organic and the chemical ferts?

To be honest, that's why I posted the question. I don't know dick about indoor soil grows.
One minute I'm reading something in the organic forum and the next minute I'm in the soil forum.

I see others using chemical ferts with organic bases so i was curious if my soil would require any teas or other supplements.

I decided to try both. I went totally organic on 3x chem dog, x3 grape ape and x2 SLH.
A bunch of bogs gear was put in the soil mixture from my original post.
My new room is almost complete so this will be my only soil grow.
Thanks for the post.
peace.
