A quick search will reveal an embarrassment of riches in bagseed results right here on this very site.
I've got some bagseed growing right now that I'm very happy with, which came from a bag of some pretty great smoke. About fifteen years ago, some friends and I grew out some seeds from some shitty brickweed and had fantastic results, completely exceeded the original smoke.

Shwag seeds will most likely grow shwag plants but I've grown some random seeds I've found in my own homegrown and they've been some dank. If the bud you got it from was good there is a chance it will be good too.
diesel herm pollen makes sour fem seeds on anything they touch homie !!!

There can be be some great ones out there. The only thing to watch out for is when growing greenbud bag seed most seeds come from unnoticed hermies so chances are you will get high rates of hermies. Mexi brick has a whole range of genetic backgrounds from hemp like sativa mexilandraces to recently imported dutch and american genetics.

once upon a time I started with bag seed from two sources...
one turned out pretty awesome, much like the "parent buds"...
then there was the other ones, pretty much hemp - now obviously I wouldn't save seed from something that wasn't worth while but this was far from what I expected. I suspected that maybe the parent buds had been pollinated by hemp however they also went hermi and I didn't catch the male flowers until seeds started (I guess a few early flowers slipped past me as I had been keeping my eyes out for them--such as anyone growing from bag seed should) so I hypothesized some strains might loose all potency once fertilized????
I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this but if ever I come across a several seeds in a bag of herb the next thing I do is examine all the buds up close under a bright light to search for male flowers. If the strain has gone hermaphrodite in a big way then one can usually spy a male flower or two. Of course the petals and their pollen are long gone but the give away is the leftover bits of petal sheathing from before the flower opened...or at least this is what it reminds me of...maybe it is the petals all shriveled up?

if you smoked the weed you'd have a good idea of what you're getting, never know what male was used, and if alot of phenoe variation
but I love bag seed, got 5 seeds from a 4g's of Texada Time Warp and it is amazing smoke, one of the trippiest I've had in a while so I am hopen they pop

any bag seed can grow any type of plant good/bad/elite_ being you never know what male plants pollinated the females..grow them out and find you a good1

Bagseeds that i save are all i've grown so far... the weed is atleast as good as where it comes from so far and i have not had a hermie in my 2 grows of 7 females.
My last grow one plants was dank at harvest time, better then anything i had bought.
I would imagine ill get similar results this round !
