You speak the truth and make a case for ALL toxic chemicals we have and use for various projects in our lives. From food right on down the line...I cant see rolling back time/[progress] to only use materials that are found in the naturaly occuring enviroment...In both the agricultural and medicinal worlds we use small ammounts of what might be considered poisons[if used in larger doses]to get a positive effect...Im not the sharpest tool in the shed but have to believe the old slogan better living threw chemistry, has some merit......did you check the msds or read the product label?
eagle20ew is catagorized as a hazardous chemical. It is known to cause reproductive and developmental toxicity and is a suspected endocrine disruptor. At least one of the ingredients is a known carcingon. it can cause lesions, ulcerations and eye damage upon contact and is known to effect the liver, testes, adrenal gland, kidney, thyroid, central nervous system, lungs, and urinary tract. you cant breathe the vapors and it says you should call poison control if you come in contact with this product.
It is highly toxic to aquatic organisms, toxic to birds, and also kills honeybees and fish.
the label clearly states: "do not use treated plant material for food and feed"
it specifies that sunflowers, maple and walnut trees that have been sprayed can not be used in food production of any kind, ever. though it says it can be sprayed in orchards it does not say that the fruits of the orchard can then be eaten, just "do not use treated plant material for food and feed"
even if the orchard fruits were safe to eat(which it sounds like they are not), the fact that some plants are rendered completely un-ingestible after spraying makes me think we should at least know how it specifically interacts with cannabis before we use and ingest it.
"eagle 20EW is a locally systemic fungicide having protectant and curative properties that will translocate to new growth" it is not staying contained specifically to the vegetative matter that was sprayed. new growth will contain the systemic fungicide.
just because the product stops working after 30 days does not mean it is out of the plants system.
i know i dont want to smoke something thats known to not be safe to touch or eat.
this product is a nasty fungicide floating in cancerous paint thinner(naphthalene). im all set.
also, with the known hormonal influence of this product, should breeders really be using it at all?? phyto hormones are almost identical to human hormones, I would be worried about genetic damage to my seedline.
One small example i have knowledge about, apple trees..To grow apples [or fruit in general] one must use a certain ammount of chemical to produce a blemish free apple a consumer will buy...From aprox april 15th most commercial trees are sprayed 1x every 7 days with a combo bug/fungicide..When flowers emerge spraying stops until apple set[no spraying of bees]then spraying resumes on a 10 day basis until picking....My personal apple trees i dont spray are hit or miss being able to pick one of a tree to eat without running into some type of bug/worm...People will not pay for that type of product on average......Let go to clones,I would much rather buy a cutting that came from a mother plant that haD been sprayed with eagle then to find a PM surprize a month down the road that has infected a whole room/ months worth of time/effort...Infecting my future projects, clone shared and pm on my dried bud.....Hard to decide which are the lesser of 2 evils.
My final thought is to be mindfull of ALL potential chemical dangers we come in contact with in our daily lifes.....Minimize the risk and atleast make an informed choice on what your putting in your body......
I think i agree[in theory] with your statements..BUT.Practical application will be the problem..This come from a guy[me] who was poisoned by drinking tainted spring water[major named brand],a product that is considered a natural pure maine commodity that made me sick and gave me memory issues for months.... Something to think about fer sure..
Drive safe and have a good day
