It would be nice to know where to get Neem oil and other last-minute all-out pest warfare products locally. They're not the sort of thing you want to wait 5 days for delivery. I guess best practice is to stock up in advance but I'm broke as a man can get ATM.

Anybody know the score on AK-48? It's a 7 week strain, right? How's the yield and the smoke? I always wanted to try that one some day.

I grew AK48 for my first grow and for what I got it was real good smoke, but it WAS my first grow. And since they seemed to handel stress and poor conditions ok I thought I'd try em agian.
I did mean to post pics tonight but didn't get in till after lights out so I'll post um up tomarrow.

I use about the same stuff, I wouldn't let them veg. to much longer, the light penetration from the 600 might be better at 3-4 ft finished vs 4-5 ft finished. Am doing nivana fem ice and th seeds sage right now. If you flip that ak at about a foot tall finished she should go to 4ft

Nice pics, I like the side by side comparison

Yea, I kind of dig the side by side to, it's cool to see the difference in just a week.
The more I think about it now I think I need to re-pot them sooner then I thought. There all about 10-12 inchs tall except for two that are around 8 inchs. I think I'm gonna re-pot this Tues or Wed night then I can tie um' down for a week or two before they get flipped.
What do y'all think? Any opinions?

And again, thanks for stop'n by everyone. :tiphat:

I'm think'n that when I re-pot them then tie them down that should help with any strech and help give me a nice even canopy. I'll also trim some lower growth off a few days after they get tied down. I hope I end up with 20 nice sized tops, 7 of 9 were topped and 2 got four tops so.......... :)

I'm startin' to wonder how much I might pull from nine topped girls under a 600w with about a two month veg cycle? I don't even wanna make a guess, I ain't had a good grow to compair it to yet. LOL!
Anybody wanna hazard a guess?

Neem oil at Lowes. Works great just be sure to apply every 2-3 days until conditions are under control then at least weekly or bi-weekly.

AK-48 is a wonderful grower and excellent first timer plant, nice fruity smell and flavor, nice colas, but to me personally it lacks the "punch" my wife and a good friend however both love it. I'm more of an Indica buff so it must stay true to the "sativa high" like they claim.

it did have a nice top cola till a strong ass wind came along while I was napping. My poor wife was afraid to even wake me up but thankfully it was a week into flush and the bottom 2/3'rds still yeilded about 4 oz dried. (4 months total veg and bloom) and was one of the first 6 plants I ever grew. The clones took despite everything I did wrong or should I say the lack of doing anything right. It took a few weeks to start blooming but once it took I saw leaps and bounds to the finish

Sup y'all!
Quick little update.

I'm a little nervous, a few of my girls have a "yellowing" issue. About half my girls have yellowing on the very bottom leaves. They don't look burnt, dried or cupped, there just yellow. All the other growth looks great on them except these yellow leaves.
Should I be worried or is this normal?
I know they haven't been over watered or over fed. I'm wondering if this is a sign that I should feed them a little more, maybe they've used up the nutes in the Fox Farm OF?

Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! I need therapy! I can't take the stress! Oh, wait a minute, let me smoke this over........... Ahhh, much better. LMAO!

I'm gonna re-pot all the girls later tonight and tie them down. I'll post up some pics then.
Wish me luck!

I wouldn't worry plants lose leaves all the time just don't pull them off. i feed mine once a week i don't tie down and i still get 400-500 grams per harvest

Well I've been out of town for a few days so my roommate took care of my girls and at least he didn't kill em'. LOL.

I only got 4 of 9 re-potted the other day, I didn't buy enough soil for all nine, DEE DE DEEEEE! So I'll be doing the other 5 tomorrow. I checked in on em' for a moment tonight and all looks well. The first four had roots just starting to wrap around the bottom of their pots, I hope the extra 5-6 days between the first 4 and the second 5 doesn't stunt their growth to much. I guess we'll find out soon enough won't we.

Anyway, I'll post up a bunch of pics tomorrow night, they've gotten Bigger! :jump:

Well here we go, update pics!

I just re-potted the last 5 girls, all seems to be lookin' good. Just gave em' all a good watering with strait water (not to much though), so I'm hoping they all like there new home. I'll give em' till tomorrow before I start tying um' down just a little. I'm think'n I'll give um' another light feeding in a few days then flip em' 5-7 days later. Thier all between 11"-12.5" tall from the top of the pots.

Some full garden shots,

A little closer,

A few close ups,

Heres the yellowing leaves I was talking about,

Well, there ya have it. I'm thinkin' there lookin' pretty good, what do y'all think?
Any suggestions or pointers?

Farmer, in my experience leaves yellow and fall off when the canopy is dense and light can't get down there to the lower leaves. I've always grown bushes and I expect some leaf loss lower down. I'm trying SOG now and since light penetrates all the way to the bottom (they're only 13-14" tall on average) there's no leaf loss.

Sup Dude? (hehe) Thanks for stop'n by.
As long as this is all the yellowing I see I'm figuring I'm good. It looks like the last 5 girls did well when I re-potted them yesterday.
I'm gonna give them all another light feeding around Friday then I'm thinking I'll flip them Saturday or Sunday.

WOOHOO!!!:jump:12-12 BEGINS!!! (soon)

I can honestly say that these are by far the best lookin' plants I've grown yet! Mabey I'm finaly gettin' the hang of this. I'm goin' nuts tryin to guess how much I might be able pull from these girls, I'm still want'in someone to take a guess. Mabey I can start a poll question. Hmmmm......

That's why I do SOG'S, top to bottom bud. Baseball bats of bud.

Sup everyone!

Well tonights the night! After lights out I'm fliping my girls to 12/12. There starting to strech so most are up to about 14 to 15 inchs tall, it looks like there growing about one inch a day.
I'll post up a few pics later tonight, see y'all in a few!
