Good morning Nukkumatti. The room that I'm using right now is 12x9, but I'm only using about half of that space, 6x9. The rest of the room is grow supplies and storage for my hydro equipment that I don't use anymore.

I've got my lights hanging from the ceiling with two 400 watt lights and a 600 watt light in the middle. I normally run another 600 watt light with a different configuration in there, but one crapped out on me during the last grow and I haven't replaced it yet. Were still in the refinancing process of our home and I'm waiting on the closing before I can make some big purchases and get more lights. So for this grow I'll only have 1400 watts in there, but I plan on moving some of the girls out into the second room once that is up. The second room will be running two 1000 watt lights. The second room is 20x9, but obviously I won't be using all of that space. I have about 8'. of vertical space available. My largest girl, Secret recipe #1, is 4'8", so I'll be cutting it close, but should have enough vertical space to flower them out in. Might need to do some bending of top though. These are gonna be my biggest girls ever.

So you just hang the lights horizontally in reflectors? Or do you hang them vertically? Just asking cause I want to know how much you gonna trim them .

Been thinking for the next location..Couple 1000 in adjust a wing reflectors and flat garden for the simplicity. Or hang the lights vertically between plants and go with 600s. For the 1000 I need to purchase all but 600s I got few already..

Jeah monn those are going to be beasts!! My SRs are stretching quite "nicely" So I think you need to bend those tops a bit!

So you just hang the lights horizontally in reflectors? Or do you hang them vertically? Just asking cause I want to know how much you gonna trim them .

Hi Nukkumatti, I'm hanging the lights horizontally. I've thought about going vertical, but I'm still undecided if that would give me any more of a yield. Plus this way I can rotate the plants and move them as needed. They look more natural growing this way too, and is a bit more aesthetically pleasing to me. I get a lot of enjoyment being around my plants. Kinda like therapy if you will. I don't plan on trimming up much. Mostly just the undergrowth, and some small side branching that probably won't support the weight of buds anyway. I should be able to get quite a few clones from this too. After the stretch I usually remove a lot of larger lower fan leaves that block light penetration to the rest of the plant, but I try to leave on as much as I can.

Well I think I'll try little defoliation myself too.. Just with easy hand cause they haven't got any training yet.
I trimmed the lowest shoots off and tie them with bamboo.. mmm getting ready for the explosion man.

Jeah I been thinking to hit more than enough wattage on horizontal and go with that..When ever I got the space for that next.
I like to sit with my plants too and seeing them fully in vert is not possible..Also the maintaining with bigger horizontal area is going to be much more easy.

Cannawinner - Thanks man. I hope to really be pumping it out this next year. I'm not really in it for the money, but I grow more than I can smoke or give away so it's a nice bonus. I'll need a break in 2012 and a trip to Amsterdam and Italy will do my wife and I wonders. I hope to grow out these strains a few more times, as well as some others, and get them dialed in, but haven't had too many issues so far.

Sackoweed - Hey man thanks for checking out my grow. They've gotten big since you were last in here. Just starting their stretch now. Tomorrow will be a week of flower. Not much of bud development yet, couple of hairs here and there, but they should get cracking before long. This is going to be a very fun grow. Stop back things are sure to get better. Well it's been a week of flower. The girls will be going into their dark cycle for the seventh time later this morning. So here's some pictures of where they are at. Not much to see yet, but they are starting to put out some pistils.

I raised the lights again today. Still got about another ft. that I can go up, but will probably have to do some bending on these girls in the next couple of weeks. I think for the next go round with these girls that I'll probably grow them a bit smaller or add tomato cages for support. Well that concluded the show for today. Next update 11-14-10.

Hey man, nice to have you checking out my grow show. Connoisseur definitely has some nice genetics. I can't wait to grow out some more of their gear. They've got some new stuff coming out (CheeseDog, and Grandoggy Purps) as well as some others in the works. Be sure to pick something up.

I'm trying to be, but truthfully I'm a bit worried. They grew so fast that the stems aren't as strong as I'd like. I can already see the big tops these girls are gonna have and I'm trying to anticipate how I'm going to have them supported. I should have thought about it earlier and put them in some tomato cages, but this is the first time with these strains and I let them get a bit ahead of me. I've got 2-3 stakes in all the plants now (might add a few more), and I'll be wrapping them in twine or wire around the stakes to help support them. I'd like to continue to give over all plant shots the whole grow, but if I can't support them well enough I'll have to settle for canopy/bud shots. Thanks for checking out the grow Whodair.
