bonghopper - grafting a soft-trunk/branch plant like cannabis is very difficult. Grafts are usually done using woody growth so as to either wedge a new bud of the plant to be grafted (scion) into the cambium layer of the stock plant or to do a "cleft graft" where the cambium layers of both the scion and stock are joined.

Doesn't mean it can't be done, but it does mean to expect many failures along the way.

The handshake graft is maybe more successful as both branches are still supplied with water from the roots. I believe the least woody part of the stem, the same place as cuts are taken would be a more successful place to make the graft as it also roots the easiest. Just speculation.

Anyone any mature multi strain mums or dads? Or both sexes on one root. I know the midnight gardner from amsterdam flowered out a multi strain plant of Kiwi strains. Lets see em

I go from thread to thread and i keep getting amazed at all the knowledge that is shared. another great thread. thought about this when i fisrt heard about mothers. glad to know it can be done and now i will try this myself. Only logical way to with so little space. Thanks to all those that came first.

sketchy I have done that once. I left 2 branches on the plant. They were about halfway up the plant in the semi woody part. Give her a shot with some nutes and leave the light on and you might get lucky. I did get a second harvest but not as much as the first time. Good luck!

Anyone notice a reduction in fan fingers after pruning, even weeks after, I have one plant that just spit out a single blade leaf and its been three weeks since pruning

I noticed that too at first. The leaves grow out 5 or 7 bladed soon enough. I am very thankful for the reveg because I took no clones of my plants, now we all can get a second chance!

forever dude, a mother can live in as small a pot as you can keep her happy in. That small is damn small, so I would think it is really an oddity not a real functional plant. you would be skirting shock one way or the other, and if you need more then 1-2 clones then you're going to need a bigger pot.

A bigger pot, is always possible! Have you ever seen a plant smaller then its pot???(from the top view)

im starting some plants from seed which i plan to keep as bonsai moms,

i was wondering what would be the 'minimum' ammount of internodes in a plant from seed to make the first cut to keep a bonsai mum?
