i said earlier that becoming a cop was a backup plan and a way to get my parents off my back. 6 months of training/learning is a joke compared to the benefits i'll reap if i decide to go down that path.
So really what the fuck is the whole point of this thread other than to stir up the shit pot, unless you have any big revelations for us from piggy school you want to share?
Otherwise the last thing I want to read about on a fucking Cannabis forum is police academy bullshit from a soon to be oinker. As far as I'm concerned you're the black plague. No offense officer!
the point of this thread was for me to share my experience at the police academy. everything from profiling, different mentalities for different situations, the ego they force on you, their subpar level of hand to hand combat, and just little things you wouldnt think would happen in a place like that, like the deputy chief i quoted earlier. i had plenty of things i wanted to get out but this thread didnt go down as planned and i got flustered and stayed up 4 hours later than i shouldve.

Most of us are underground and dont want to be noticed by the law. I myself try to stay out of the radar and not have any interactive with cops in any way. Most[ and when I say most I mean all] cops have had a power tripping attitude and dont listen to what Im saying, they have their own agenda.
They came to our house and took our meds for NO REASON except for their own personal power trip! Took our savings and my job [with benefits and retirement] and ended up dropping every charge!
Im sorry but I have no reason to trust them or want their help.

i hope that if you are on the job and your partners are harrassing some marijuana patients you would step in and stop them.
but you probably wont, because all cops like to choke on eachother's poles.
i have met good cops in my years...mostly SFPD urban cops who let me slide when i was picked up for shit like smoking weed or graffiti...they could have arrested me but let me go with warnings etc which i appreciated. and when i was involved in a hit and run the responding officer went above and beyond the call of duty....trackin down the idiots who hit me and getting their insurance information.
but i have met a ton a dickhead cops that outweighs any positive i have experianced from cops. and when i watch TV and see cops in most parts of the country harrasing pot growers and smokers like they are rapists it makes me sick.
and i HATE SWAT, DEA, and all those steroid munching meatheads who act like they are so fucking cool because they destroy peoples houses and lives. i hate all these cop shows that pollute our TV, its like every station is showing cops just brutally oppressing common folk for partying and shit...

Well its clear you are not the smartest individual here, or maybe you are, but aren't aware of certain realities and haven't had the time to critically think your way to a decision with good judgement.
Number one, its not something to be proud of, joining the police academy. So no matter what, don't let being an officer become part of your identity. The police are not Hero's and the justice system is not just. Becoming a police officer won't fill the void of living an in-authentic life. It is not the magic wand that suddenly provides your life with importance, meaning and superficial value, that friends, family and citizenry seems to be giving you.
There is the illusion of do no wrong, and you could say critical thinking is completely erased from an officers mind during the easily malleable academy years. Critical thinking simply means to "ask questions". Soon after becoming an officer your morals will be tested, if you have any, and your true colors will shine. Will you be a human sell out for the cop-out job of humanity or will you stand for higher ideals. Thats hard though because I know, not many people have found their true meaning yet, and thats a journey.
The police force is an illusion, they sell you on an illusion, while corrupting you at the same time. You talked about the academy having "low-standards", you're right, but why don't we look at why they have low standards, now that we know its a brainwashing camp for authorized thug force.
Don't be fooled, you are under intense Psychological profile the moment you become a member of the academy. They are honing in on who is "fit" for the "force" hint hint. Typically they want easily controllable individuals and your weaknesses are their biggest interests, I mean if the person has the ability to question the "status-quo", well then cut him, because he's unable to to be "cubed", you know..thinking out side the box.
Anyway the point is, its nothing more than a gang with guns and colors with the authority to be violent, kill, and charge money. Police do not care about solving problems, understanding the problem, or your happiness. it is their job to arrest and charge money and enforce the head dictates without question.
"I just do my job" & " I just do what they tell me " are what they rely on to control you guys, the point of there being low-standards is because you guys are meant to be easily brainwashed but equally dispensable & replaceable gang unit. Designed not to question but enforce and die, thats your purpose, not to bring peace, justice, morals and dignity to the world.

not yummybud bro... i started this thread right before i was about to go to sleep and its been nearly 9 hours. i wanna sleep but i wanna finish writing my short novel even though im only a quarter of the way done(its a long read), on most forums theyd call it a "wall of text"
