Do you know the total cost to build everything?
I am really considering NFT PVC fence posts in the near future. Either a stadium or vertical.
Do you have any thoughts on the fence posts?
And your sensi star is a beast! Have you ever thought of running LUI 13 or another heavy yielder?

each system costs $190 diy each wye is $4.07(x15) at HD and each pump is $70

to anyone watching and thinking about building one...if you have the balls do it !! but weigh the pros and cons first. i am surprised no one has asked this but with my cloner full of rooted clones and my veg and all four verts full i am at 98 plants !!! that leaves me one mum lol... mine are never all full though just something to think about but if your med or whatever dont even think about it

if i could go back and do it all over again i would, at the time of building this i didnt even know if it would work but now that i have tested it and loved it this is what i would do different and tips for anyone wanting to build....

make sure your cooler is insulated, only two of mine are, the water difference is only bout 1-2deg difference but the systems are more sturdy with less lean

fork over the extra cash for a little giant pump they are expensive but there are many benefits...my current pumps leaves about 3" of water in it that i have to shop vac out, its whatever and i can do it by myself in under 5 min but running a high powered vac next to precious roots can be dangerous, that sucks out down to 1/8" making the job even easier and no vac, plus it rated higher gph so extra pressure for aero obviously, i would buy a filter bag for it too. *this is untested though i would be worried about water temp with such a small rez and highpowered pump but i plan on doing this as soon as my ecoplus pumps shit out...running strong over 3 years!!!!

i used 1/2" tubing for water delivery cause i was broke at the time, maybe i woulda got better pressure and flow with 3/4"?parts would be a little more

you are going to need sm-90 or a similar product i woud not reccomend hygrozyme from my experience and it more expensive

i would even go 4" wyes if i had the cash more room for roots why not add $1 per wye bigger net cups etc

and of course i would love to do TAG in it also


as for the strain yes i have considered it i am very interested in Mental Floss i have heard it was very good and high yeild the description says it yields 910g/m2 my Nebula is 400g/m2 and my Sensi Star is 500g/m2 if those numbers were accurate IN THEORY using the numbers from my last batch i would yeild 289.9 doing the same thing w Mental Floss i have thought about it a lot and may do it in the future but i am a quality over quantity guy thats why i love vert you can have both but yeah this SS is beast i may be saying goodbye to nebula in the future so i can do her exclusively but it always so hard

thanks for breaking it down for me... And yeah quality is great, but finding a large producer of quality would be nice. Blue dream comes to mind, but it might stretch too much for you. I have some white widow x big bud, and white russian for heavy yielders. White russian or ak-47 would be a pretty good fit for you IMO. Have you thought about ak?

i dont mind stretch bring it on the SS is very stretchy and my jock horror was also but not as bad and they both did really well in my setup i have noticed sativas tend to do better in my experience

i cant really get all tied down w a new strain right now cause i am planning on moving to colorado soon i actually was hoping to already be out by now and i wasnt supposed to germ the SS til i moved but i couldnt resist and now i can never give it up so i have to find a way to get a clone all the way to CO!!

when i move though i do plan on trying a bunch and even doing my own crosses and i will need a high yeilder AK is something i have always kept in mind and ive always been lucky with phenos so hopefully i get the cherry one... then cross it with Sensi

i used to worry a lot about yeild my numbers were poor and i have tossed good quality over a higher yeilder, the nebula keeper i have right now i chose quanity over quality. once i started doing vert and my numbers improved it started mattering less in fact i never thought i would even pull numbers like this. i am under the impression if you do good you will pull #per 1K. with the vert,systems, and perpetual my worst numbers consistenly is 15z 20g and my best is 23z 22g every 2month with only 800w and i dont consider myself a great grower by any means

a high yeilder to me is something that can pull a gpw you always hear people say "...with the right strain you be pullin a gpw'' and i havent ran one through here that hasnt came close so maybe w the right strain i can pull 1.5 or even 2gpw

Nice setup bro - have a suggestion or two, though.

Firstly, that wasted space is killing your yields - whereas .8gpw is nothing to sneeze at, you could easily be getting a gpw just by using all your available light by putting more columns in the empty areas.

Also, a SCROG for each section (at minimum just some netting to tie back branches to) would stop the overcrowding that you seem to be referencing as a large yield killer for you.

All in all a sick setup, though - I built a 90 site PVC octagon and used 4", gets damn expensive real quick.

if your running mag ballasts you should try out cmh. if not i would really recommend putting 600s in there and c02. if you step that up youll be pulling im betting 50g more per yield. looking fuckin awesome though man nice setup.

sorry been a minute since i updated been real busy ...

basically..
i have harvested two crops since both in the 140s, i have lost two batches of clones due to aero cloner infection so i am a little behind at the moment, currently only have one active system as i am harvesting the other and working to get some clones ready

tried the other SS will do a smoke report when i have my camera. The original SS that you guys have already seen ^ has nanners popping outta preflowers, i let it go longer than reccommended and have only got one seed (xNebula..tried germing didnt take). have thought about using it for breeding but i am unsure on the quality it will produce....will it make feminized seeds? or more likely hermies ?? it has no nanners outta buds only preflowers so is it even a herm or is it intersex? it still the best i have ever smoked and better than the other SS and very special either way. what you think ??

Bob and pyro are right.. i a actively trying to find a new place at the moment but they are much harder to find ones that meet my needs around here and i dont have the credit to buy. but i want two 600s and at least one of the 400 five systems all with pvc SCROG coming out of the lid that moves with the plant. i should be doing 5 systems now. i can definately fit it and my yeilds x5 are gpw.

i am harvesting now. i will have my camera tom and i promise i will do a worthy update
