RDWC clones in for a week...

hey guys i just transplanted 30 LVPK cuts into a rdwc.... im using RO water and ionic grow nutes and some cal mag at 450ppm.... i do believe they are cal mag def but the problem ive never see before is the top leaves have almost shrivled and gotten hard not dieing but very ruff i would explain it.... ill get pictures tomorrow...

the ph is at 5.8 and the water temps go from 68-73 which i will be fixing shortly... the air temps we are also working on and goes up to 90...

masybe 450ppm is alittle high for small clones in a rdwc? the 450 was about 50ppm cal mag 100ppm Liquid karma and the rest the grow from ionic nutes...

confused i know pictures will help but very wierd.

they look a bit burned to me poopy,and it looks like you are having a micro nute issue,also,i would check and see if those tomato cages are in the nute solution,if so,the zinc coating on the legs may be causing some sort of lock out,they make a plasti dip paint that you can do the ends with,but dont put anything metallic in nutrient solutions...

the tomato cages are only a inch under the lid and folded up... should i paint these?

these clones have been through alot i know there are some leaf tip burns but some of it looks like cal mag.... i added some cal mag and some liquid karma... you think i need to back off and and somemore ro? sitting around 500ppm with about 200 of it being liquid karma and calmag...

damn poopy what is going on?

I start at 300-350ppm for the first 10 days or so, until the plants have made some roots and started showing growth up top. I use floranova veg with RO and no cal/mg, haven't had a cal/mag def with RO water in rdwc in a lonnnng time. I think they are running to high on nutes, and maybe the metal cage thing unclefishstick mentioned is your problem. Are fans circulating? Sometimes my leaves do that when they are getting blown constantly.

Did you build another room without the lights on chains, fixed to the ceiling?

Regardless they look like they will snap back, and soon be able to handle the higher nutes, but for now I would drop them and relax on all the extras. Hope it turns around for you man.

P.S. When do you want me to bring you over some floranova grow and floranova bloom, 2 bottles, from beggining to end, works everytime like a charm.

yeah poopy,unless they are sitting right in the water i wouldnt worry too much about it...
also if it is anything like the LVPK i am familiar with it doesnt like to be in the fan all the time,but i hope its not the same cause i dont like that cut,weak stuff,plants are more hassle than they are worth,unless you like all crappy popcorn buds....

Are they in rockwool or from a cloner?I'm rockin ionic but hardwater formula with tap ,and sulphuric acid.I think Ive been at 15ml per gal about 3/4 recommended dose from clone.I had problems with clones that were in wool, put those in coco and used a cloner, much better.Maybe lay off the lk for a while?Ive been aroun 650 ppms from clone and still knockin.Good luck!

they are in rock wool and i planted them so they were not touching the water line but very close and been watering from the top till roots take ahold...


Pk we built a 6k room 30 buckets light fixed to cieling.....

Those girls should snap out of it poopy, just go easy on them until they start growing vertically. They don't look that bad, are they making roots?

yeah the cut i was growing was just bad i think,a clone of a clone of a clone,i didnt like it because of all the sucker branches and little fluff buds,and also when you grow them out to 9 feet tall there should be at least one bud thats bigger than your thumb!!

Maybe his cut wasn't the problem, because it is the EXACT same as PK and Poopy have on this tread.

Funny the only grower of dozens on ICmag that think it is weak, and couldn't grow it is giving advise.

I think I'd listen to PureKnowledge on this one.

5.8 is what the love so you should be fine. Mine of those size are in 600PPM.


How long have your clones been in the net pots? Are they in anything besides Hydroton (Rockwool, Rappidrooter)?

Were they cloned in a dome or aero cloner?

Have you given them any foliar spray? I like to hit the ladies twice a day with a water misting.

clones didnt look like that until after transplant they are all in 1" rockwool cubes and been transplanted into hydroton a week ago... started showing signs 3 days after... no foliar spray cloned in a dome but been alive for 2 weeks in rockwool waiting for room to be finished...

I don't see your rockwool. I like to have the top of rockwool about 1/2" above the top of the net pot.

If it is burried too low, it will get waterlogged and can rot your stem.

The PK is a consistent winner and yielder for me. Hands down the second most popular strain with patients. Even the last round was appreciated and it was a 4 compared to this rounds 8 rating

I have to say that when it is grown out, there's nothing in the jar bigger than a normal pickle. They are smaller buds. The potency is crazy melt my face at 60. Didn't do anything for me at 49 days.

I'm really intrigued seeing dominicangreen's photo of how frosty his are. Its so much better than mine I just wonder how much stronger this weed can get.

HS I think you'll just find that not everyone likes the same plant growing style or bud. Everyone loves the mtf and g13 etc that I grew and I barely could smoke 3 bowels. It's amazing stuff but if someone asked me I wouldn't have much positive to say.

A friend and I were talking yesterday and just hilarious that we didnt have the same opinion on the 50+ strains and crosses we're talking about running/making


Anyways Poopy, it looks like lockout or a water issue on first glance. Be interested to hear if anything cage/plastic is leaching?

They dont look as bad as mine did 4 days ago. Went from perfect to locked out and similar to yours.

so should i leach out some water and run a smaller ppm? i see red dots look like calcium deff.. i do beleive the grow im using is for hard water for some reason so that means it has less cal mag and micros and shit in it...


and each plant was planted indivisually as the floor the buckets on is not totally flat so i put hydroton about 1/2" above water line planted plants and filled with hydroton from here i have been hand watering till the roots get to the water...
