Critical +

Hi,
The critical + is a selfed version of the Critical Bilbo clone, selected more than 10 years ago from a Shantis seed. The clone is sativa-grower/ Indica-flowering, I mean, fast growing and fast flowering. It usually finishes in less than 55 days, and the branches cannot take the weight of the buds, so many times you have to tie. The production is good, its not the most heavy yielder, but because of the fast flowering times, the comercial growers like it. The name is punchy here so the people wants it.
Now the dinafem seed. I have grown the clone and the seed and it has no comparison, the seeds seems to be more indica likely and the flowering time is a bit larger. In the other side, I have just harvested 2 plants in a friends indoor and one has an anisette smell that wasnt present in the clone, the lottery of flavours
I will post some pics in a few days.

The Dynafem seeds definitely seem more indica-leaning, at least in veg... All five of the free seeds I got from Seed Bay are short, but vigorous so far...flipping them tommorrow, so we'll see about the stretch, which is said to show more sativa characteristics...Aromas are interesting, even at this point

Well, here are three critical+ just starting to show flowers. Hopefully I won't get any mold issues--it's pretty humid around here. Peace!

Here's some horrible pics of my outdoor, octopus-style critical+ bushes. Buds are forming very quickly now, and starting to get plump. Nice resin, too, though you can't see that well. My camera is about ten years old, I think.

They're stretching a good bit, so I'm tying them down to keep nice and stealthy. I sprayed them with GreenCure today and I'll do it again in a few weeks to try to prevent bud rot and PM. It rained hard two days ago. They loved it! It'll be interesting to see what comes of them.

Great looking plants, flyingfox! Will you end up having to stake them for support, d'ya think? Also, how far along are you now? Peace!

Wow...I just got some of these as Freebies also and I couldn't find any info on them so thanks so much for posting the pics and reports. I am popping one to take clones and then try my first hydro scrog! I guess I better get to building my cab though LOL

BBoarderGirl,
Howzit? When your vegging these out, they'll look squat and really indica-like, but at flowering, they'll start looking more sativa and stretch quite a bit. Just something to keep in mind as you train them into your screen. Best of luck with them!

Oh, and yeah, they are the strongest smelling plants I've got going. I've got two of them indoors and three outside.

veggin critical+ they went into flower two weeks ago one flowered quick and the other a little slower!!!!both are very nice though!!!!!:tiphat:

As you can remark, the buds get some colors at the end, very nice taste, really enjoying her.

See you

day 35

day 35

These plants are extremely fast. They're just packing on the pistils so quickly, and the resin is starting to come on, too. The fruity hash smells are very nice!

here an update on my critical + i get as freebie

nice plant at 20 days o flo

stretched a lot and fill well

at 20 days i have some very solid bud formation . the smell, well too early but quite funky

not to burst the bubble but we are talking about shanti baba version of the pacific big bud here. scott came into the game in 1990 .

i love mr nice genetics and more neville work via mr nice but critical plus is a reworked version of an american northwest classic aka big bud who was breed in the early 80 's but i do agree on the fact the clones used by dinafem was from a mr nice seeds stock so....its all ok to say its mr nice stuff but for the fact keep in mind its a reworked big bud , i would credit Neville for spreading these genes the first in the 80's .

so...sssc score again ! like many of the so called clones only star of today , all neville work in the 80's

Yep, it is what it is. To be honest, I would never have purchased these beans. But, that being said, I've been pleasantly surprised by their vigor and structure. The smoke will be the true test, though. Anyone smoking this right now?
