sigh. trimming is taking more time than I'd hoped.. i can see where on larger runs a nice electric hand trimmer or even a real unit might come in handy Will update again with yield in a few days...

So the bbbk + 2-gal's added up to 144.7 grams, 5.04OZ; + a total of ~20g for personals, and ive still a half grocery bag to trim... (ak) - friggan awesome!

Its still on the expensive side, but technically the grow is about halfway to 'more or less' paying for itself....

I figure i typically pay 90/quarter or so for the Top Top shelf... and i've spent prolly 3500 fucking around... so that's 38.88(barred) quarter's cash.. or about 9.7OZ - now what i grew was not top shelf, so it gets closer to an lb for break even, maybe 1.5 when you include continuing replacement costs.. but shit - counting the fun I've had it's still cheap.

Shit - if most ppl gave up starbucks they could afford all that expensive-arsed equipment that they don't wanna buy just because its 3k up front - fukkit rite?

how did you spend 3500? that seems like a crazy amount for what i see in the pics no offense man but those lights alone are only a hundred plus a peice look around you can find nice equipment for cheap but good job man all the best

CFL_Grow: Looking good, i would go for at least a DR100 as a minimum, i rock a DR 100 and i get alot of heat upbuild. Of course you got to have proper ventilations..... best of luck

Hi CFL

Nice purchase, I got a DR80 great tent. Got carbon filter, 5" inline fan(boxed to cut down on noise), 400 watt cooltube light. Temps sit about 80 happy with that. Im in the UK and as we move towards xmas might even stick a 250 watt cooltube light in there as well, if its got proper cold out think it will be OK.

Having said that, I agree with free, if I had the room I would go bigger.

Well, finally it was about time to harvest my Pregnant girls,
5 Ice & 2 Hawaiian Super Skunk
Right after harvest, i put 2 RedHerijuana/FruitBud x Lemon Thai, 2 SSSDH x NL,1 BubbleChung, 2 Dragon Haze & 1 Hawaiian, under my brand new 400W:yay:
And now the tent is getting full again, really looking forward to try these strains.

So a friend gave me a 400 watt HPS light.
And about a month later (yesterday) I decided to impulsively purchase everything for a grow.

Picked up Four 3 gallon pots.
Some Fox Farm Ocean Forest
Light timer/fans
Plastic
And 4 clones from a local club: Grand Daddy Purple, Matsuka thunderfuck x2 (Aka Alaskan Thunderfuck), and Durban poison.

So I have some questions for the 400 watt club guys n gals.

Firstly, I am doing an indoor organics grow
So I was wondering how long should I veg the clones for?
What would be the best optimal length of vegetation for the 400 watt light, I'm looking for moderately big plants, but not to big.
I was thinking vegging for two weeks or three. I want to be able to get VERRY little veg neuts into them in the 2nd or third week.
Then toss them into flower.
The reason I ask, a friend of mine says that under a 400 watt light I should just be vegging clones for a week and flowering them as soon as possible, barley vegging them and not giving any veg neuts.

How many clones can i put under a 400w ??? is it 60x60 cm or 70x70cm a good grow space?? i was thinking like 16 (4x4 clones) or 25 (5x5)....and the pots, like 2 L ??????

If youre just veggin, it´s fine with 2 L, but are planning on blooming them in 2 L, then its a bad idea.
I got 6 12L in 1mx1m or 8-10 6,5 L in my bloom tent.

Here is a pic of my second grow. The one on left is Blue Dream and the one on right is Pineapple Kush. I'm still tying to attain gram per watt..so right now, I have 6 ladies i 10 inch pots with some LST..the next six going in will have more LST since they wil be vegging longer.


Should i do any pruning? I hear people of pruning for bigger buds, but read that taking leaves off is a bad thing? I want my 400 to be more effective...any advice? My plants look like a jungle.. They also survived the summer..and mite attack.
