lol strainz. opions are like ass holes we all got em.
the og smell and taste are the hardest thing to get in a cross, i have hit the og with fem pollen and regular male pollen and not once have i got the lemon fuel smell in the cross, now chem d will transfer its smell pretty easy,not always but pretty regular. it dont mean shit but in my mind i just dont see or taste lemon in any chem. d or 4

So we hate speculation but were gonna go off Medic 's speculation LOL
GAM yike even worse...
Ive finished 91 and sfv , out of all perspective candidates they come the closest to being related.. still doesnt mean that another fem of some kind in the room thru out some pollen and hit the 91 . similar to how SourD was formed from the MSS
" i say another Fem" cause agian there is no males of Chem or OG..
i think maybe a HP13 Trinity or Pre98 or Paki or even a RKS hit the 91 and thats where OG may have came from...
i have pieces of 91 and SFV and Sour D at a lab for DNA extraction but there taking quite a while, i bet could cross all of them all and find out before they finish the test lol
And PS... Why are there a few getting so bent outta shape about this..... this is fun playing detective..

Hrpuff, u obviously know ur stuff dude....thanx for sharing! Are u suggesting "maybe a HP13 Trinity or Pre98 or Paki or even a RKS hit the 91" because those were popular strains at the time or that u can possibly see some of the traits/charecteristics of these in the OG?

Yeah thats what im guessing , i will exclude the RKS thow after thinking about it more.. i doubt that would throw any male flowers seeing how Sam made it..
Not many strains are made following the strict requirements he applied during his breeding projects , but anything is possible
we are dealing with mother nature as well
More i marinade on it , im starting to lean towards a Hawaiian of some type ,may be a HP13 cross since its the Elite cut around the islands...
Chem is not skinny like SFV/OG but i think some
"thai" variations are skinny and are prone to trow out male nards
So my guess up to now is 91chem X HP13X Hawaiian Thai = OG

I never smoked any chem strains but have tried lot's of OG's. I always believed OG had some Bubba in it somewhere. Chem x Pre 98 bubba would make sense to me, I have seen bubba get nanners on the lowers buds numerous occasions. I also think Bubba could very well be a paki/road kill skunk cross or relative, never really heard much speculation on the lineage of bubba other than the bubble gum x kush from the cannabible which I don't believe one bit .. the mystery never ends i guess.

Sweet pics n info all, here's a few shots of some DNA- R/P OG18 I grew from seeds,first thing to note... it was VERY dank... I gotta agree with englishrick, if his OG was anything like my pheno's were then it tastes better than the cheese I grew out besides it although it recieved less attention than the cheese in general...
I'm pissed I didn't take any clones as the seeds seem to be unavailable now... ah well, was good while it lasted
I had a 3 pheno's that were all very similar in taste and smell only differed slightly in appearance and depth of the taste/smell. I'd take any of em as a clone though- yield was also respectable... pcis from weeks 7 - 8 IIRC.
Dried bud can be seen in my gallery.

Funny, I grew out 3 as well & found the same conclusion as u described. I've been running them (clones) for about a year & have found a few seeds (selfed, from stress). I've germed 1 and will prob germ the others b/c.......well, y not, its fire! I believe these would be considered SFV OG s2. My feeling is that I will lose the super sour taste (along with some vigor) which is what apparently seperates it from its mom/dad, SFV. Well, let's hope not...fingers crossed!
