"Crossed with/to" or "and" are the 'correct' linguistic representations of the ___'x'___ in a strain cross, at least for the majority of people I speak with about the subject.
Honestly, the only people who I've ever actually heard verbally express the 'x' as 'times' have been straight up noobs who couldn't tell a calyx from their cock....no offense...
