We now officially live in the land of make believe...where "what you are allowed to read" is what the politically correct police have decided is appropriate.

Thank you all for the brief sojourn into the "Tokers Den". I enjoyed my stay until I realized that there is only ONE side that get's to talk. The other side is pushed aside, labeled as a loon...just like Ross Perot or Ron Paul...and in my case...posts deleted...without explanation.

As long as HONEST discussion is limited/banned...I won't be participating. It's no use trying to discuss something when you know your words will be deleted because someone felt uncomfortable with them. It's a waste of time talking when only one side has a voice...what's the point?

I'll go back to my usual...helping people grow our beloved plant...and you guys can listen to each other talk...without really saying anything...patting each other on the back because EVERYBODY apparently agrees with your wisdom.

So...thanks again for saving everyone from horrible ideas that nobody should be forced to look upon. Thanks for always being "correct"...no matter what it takes!

Is this post illegal too? Too political? Free speech is important to me...there's a reason it's #1 in the Bill of Rights!!! This is how Germany started...this is how ALL the totalitarian regimes start...limiting free speech...limiting free exchange of ideas...limiting the very ideas themselves and the people who have them, that don't "fit".

So long...I'll try not to let the door hit me in the ass as I leave...good riddance huh? I'm one of those "problem people" who won't toe the party line...I've got to go...so you can all sit around and congratulate ourselves on how well everything is going. How happy everyone is. How you've solved all the planets problems...

I love fark.com for the political debates, and amusing news stories. If you pony up $5 a month you get access to totalfark which has 100X more threads. Anything goes there.

Yep....there are many websites out there where you can wax lyrically about what politics you prefer......and you can also regale others who believe in some other sort of political structure....

please go there and do that.......we would rather not have to bother with all of that here and concentrate upon cannabis mostly.....unless the politics are directly related to cannabis.....

.....so let's help the thread-starter out and help point him/her to politically motivated web-sites where he/she can do what we don't want here...

it might not seem like it to you at this point, but ic mag mods always try to moderate based on the tou and not on personal opinion. although no one can forbid you free speech in your life they can do so here, as this place is private property and if the owner (ic mag), doesn't like what you are saying or how you are saying it, he can delete your posts and or kick you out.

you will find that threads on certain subjects get deleted no matter who posts them. read the tou through and you will see why certain actions are taken, or at least what tou point could be the reason.

in a way it would be fun to have an un moderated sub forum where people can rant and rave about politics. the trouble is it sounds more fun then it actually ends up being, because members start to make enemies of what were previously friends due to differences of opinion that have no relation to cannabis, these arguments turn into full blown feuds after which they get dragged in to the open forums and cause negativity and further bickering in the grow areas, even causing people to get banned etc. so the decision was made to leave the free speech political discussions to other forums more suited to hosting such subjects.

I am glad there are no politics here, it polutes the rest of my world, and I can come here and chill and learn, instead of fighting. And I have never been this long on a world where the mods and admins seem fair, and they do here. Bong salute, for the freedom we do share here.

Actually...my thoughts went way beyond just "here".

YOU have free speech because yours is the "party line". I'm a contrarian...my thoughts aren't welcomed...in that regard.

I completely understand private property...I'm a huge believer in it. NOBODY has the right to tell you what you can/can't do with your own property. If you don't want the word "circus" ever spoken here...you have that right.

And...I can understand keeping it "cannabis related". I was hoping since it's like "The Bar" if this place...people could be a little more open and honest. Mixed company...I get it. This is a "respectable bar"...not a titty bar.

I'm sure most Mods are true to the mission and I know someone has to keep the peace when things get out of hand. But it sure smells of someone complaining. Some people get special treatment...it's life. I give some people special treatment too.

It's a damn shame that "our" tongues are tied sometimes...that's all. It's too bad that honesty ISN'T the best policy...or the only policy. It's a shame we have to hide things behind lies. Oh well...I tried.

I get it, and I'm not bitter. There are things we aren't allowed to discuss. Not allowed to say.

I feel I can't participate because the REAL cause of things aren't what you hear about in the news. And no, no tin hat is necessary. I've seen first hand "news" that didn't happen the way it was reported. The truth is hidden to protect the bribe payer...or the powerful.

9. Banning: People who violate IC Magazine's forum guidelines are subject to banning. Once someone has been banned from the site, we do not allow complaints from other members about it. Once banned, we are done with that individual, and no amount of complaining from other members will help. We do not justify our bans to the general membership. Those who complain about a banishment, are subject to being banned themselves.

10. Status: As long as you respect our rules you will be a welcome member of this website. Those who have decided to join our community and support what we stand for will be accorded the rights of membership. 12. Personal Message (PM): Any personal message sent by one member to another through the P.M. system or Rep Point system, both of which are not public and shared between a private system between members (not in open forum). Posting personal messages (P.M.'s) and/or e-mails (or part's thereof) in open forum(s) sent to you on this site or via any other private means is not permitted and will result in the offending member being banished. Posting of any members' personal information is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate banning.

12a. Forwarding of Private Messages (P.M.'s) is not permitted without the original sender of the P.M. giving the member who wishes to forward that private information permission 'prior' to the P.M. being forwarded. ICMag is an international site attracting members from a multitude of religious and political backgrounds. We do this in favor of harmony and unity, rather than the divisions created by permitting open discussions of politics and religion requiring an opinion from such a global community. Political discussions pertaining specifically to cannabis laws/legalization are only accepted in the appropriate forum.

15. Off-site links: Off-site links to other websites that are controlled by servers that are not located in a cannabis tolerant country could possibly be used to harvest growers IP's so compromising the security of our members. Admin may elect (at their discretion) to delete any links to off server websites as a security precaution to safeguard the security of all members.

16. PM System: A minimum post count of 50 is required before being able to send/receive private messages, as well as use a custom avatar. Those who attempt to circumvent the minimum post count by turbo posting, or making posts with no worthwhile contribution, will have their posts deleted and/or the post count of the turbo poster reset to 0 by admin as a warning. Repeated turbo posting will result in banning without warning. Due to previous abuses, all posts made within the Introduction Forum will not be included in member post count totals.

17. Social events: Outside of events that take place in Amsterdam, 4:20 cup, High Times cup etc we do not condone, encourage, nor permit discussions for private meet-ups. It is our hope that members retain their anonymity afforded them through the use of this site. Any member who attempts to solicit or arrange meet-ups is subject to immediate banishment. It is ultimately up to each member to protect their own identity by remaining anonymous at all times. Posts pertaining to private meet-ups/social events via VM's, reported PM's, or events not approved by Admin will be deleted. If you wish to make known an event, you must contact Admin for event approval prior to posting.

18. Report Posts: Please let us know ASAP if there are any postings that violate these guidelines, especially if they offend you! Next to every post there is a link to report it for review by a Moderator, Super Moderator or member of Admin. A list of our Moderators, Super Moderators and Admin can be found by clicking on 'Forum Leaders'. We encourage members to use the 'Report Post' feature (shown here: ) so you can report TOU violations or anything else that requires the attention of a moderator. However, abuse of this function will not be tolerated and can result in sanctions.

19. Vendor Moderators: Vendors must moderate their forum in compliance with our TOU. Supermod and Admin moderating decisions supersede that of any vendor moderator. No post(s) made in a vendor's forum by a Supermod or Admin shall be deleted by that forum's vendor moderator.

Did you bother reading the TOU before posting your political views? If you would have you'd see it's not allowed. So you're saying one side of political views being allowed isn't true. Because none of them are allowed.

The reason we don't allow them is simple. They start off good, but within a few posts someone posts something rude regarding a members comment. Then posts are made back and forth, threats are made and soon the entire thread has nothing to do with the topic that was started. During this time a few dozen reported posts are sent and people are demanding that people be banned. If 2 political threads are started then these problems double. And if 3 then it triples. I think you get the idea.

Now I'm sure you'll say 'why not just ban the ones doing it"? Because if we did there would be a half dozen people a day being banned. And that's not good. Because then an argument starts over the bannings, arguments ensue, threats are made and more people are banned. If 2 people get banned then these problems double. And if 3 get banned it triples. I think you get the idea.


So because people can't contain their emotions we find it better not to have the discussions instead of banning groups of members. I like a good political debate, but I've learned through history that it doesn't work here....
