The only thing I can think of is to put it in a jar with some newer buds that stinks good.

Put it in a mason jar with some fresh sun leaves. The next day they will be remoistened. Just re cure. Let me know how it turns out.
I had good success meshing a few different methods read about on here.
Instead of hanging, I laid on drying racks (you could use any of the generic closet storage racks actually) until the outer leaves felt crisp but the stem still bent slightly when kinked.
I then put in large paper bags (sealed) for a period of 1-2 days
then jars with burp times of an hour or 2 for a few days.
- I would have preferred to burp several times a day for 15-20 minutes, but the days didn't allow for that so I had to go with hour long one time burps.
The buds at first looked way too dry to me, but as they regained moisture in the jars, they gained back smell, appeal and taste.
If you have some really crispy feeling buds I don't vote for the orange peel technique of rehydrating. I suggest either insert a fresh fan leaf in the jar to rehydrate, or use your finger under a running faucet to collect only a few droplets of water to line AROUND the INSIDE of the jar, if done right with little water you will add some extra moisture to your buds without jeopardizing them with mold. You can of course try all of these methods in separate jars to see which you like best.
Be careful with letting jars get too humid. If you pop open a jar and get this hot wet burst of air in your face, then re-stuff the jar and burp
I have to agree the smell really comes out a lot after its been grinded.break it up in a grinder
