squeezing buds while they are in flower - yes/no ?

i like squeezing the lower buds to see how they fill out; some strains grow rocks from top to bottom; i like those strains

if i'm wanting to get a waft of the odor w/ a little more intensity, i'll just shake the bud. a little agitation goes a long way

that said, it's not unusual to do some rather intensive bud poking and prodding/separation of bud structure to do mold checks - compared to a squeeze, that's probably more intrusive/abusive

hopefully none of you will turn me into Child Welfare for abuse ;^)

nice pic if it were my bud it would have fingerprints on it to. i came to the conclusion it dont matter theres noway to tell if a buds been squeezed by the time u smoke it. if i had 1 baby plant under a cfl i may think differently but i love to get in there and cop a nice feel and feel my buds fatten up.

If you must touch it induce a smell just rub one of the smaller leafs that is loaded with trichs you will still get the nice smell but wont disturb the nice cola's best to leave them untouched.

I must admit I have squeezed a lot of cola's over the years, Mainly new strains and such, But I do think its very counter productive, Obviously when you rub/squeeze a nug it leaves the smell all over your hands which means you obviously have some terpenes on your skin or the smell wouldnt stick to ya.

So every rub squeeze etc removes a little terpenes. Yeah it probably isnt noticable in the final smoke but surely its not productive to touch feel and squeeze your nugs, I prefer a simple leaf rub to get the smell you are looking for, If you get close to the nugs you will smell them well without rubbing.

i feel ya blaze but how can ya resist squeezin a cola . im sure its not great but plants can take it . worth the pleasure in my opinon. im anal when it comes to alot of things in my grow but ive been known to snapp bitches necks on purpose when the get out of line and grow wild so whats a squeeze gonna do.
i would also note i trim barehanded.

i try to at least give my ladies dinner and a stem stroke b4 i take the plunge and do a full on squeeze sometimes if your premature it can get nasty and i aint getting put on a list man, not for no squeeze

in early flower it may be necessary to squeeze a flower site to get a strong odor, but in time you'll learn patience with your plants and you wont feel the need to molest your buds any longer

harmless density test: grab the stem below your cola and gently wave it, you'll be able to feel how heavy that top is

what ya do in your own garden is up to you but i do not squeeze mine if i want to smell i can rub a leaf ,why ruin any more resin heads than you have to .it seems like where i live if you squeeze a lot you get mold from the dammage of less than a gentle squeezes some people do that is one reason to not let people in your grow the other is 2 people can not keep a secret unless one of them is dead.so i would say no for me but do what you like to yours its not my buds squeeze away till your content with your sticky hands and a room full of your favorite odor just remember your reaking when you leave your house

Depends completely on the quality of the cannabis. If it's 'hay', go ahead and squeeze away. That's the only way you can get a whiff of inferior bud. But if it's somethin' like what I got growing around here, you can probably smell it without touching, and if you did, you might find yourself stuck to it!

I like to squeeze and rub the sugar leaves around the buds, then rub it on my mustache. That way, I get to smell it in all it's glory for at least an hour... and I laugh the whole time, because it's a beautiful thing, having a mustache that smells like that. Also, if/when the hot stoner babes find out, they always want lots of kisses.
