Vaped Bud for butter?

I've been using a vape for a couple of months now and have a good amount of vaped bud. Isa vaped bud good for making canna butter? I've always made my butter with trim and popcorn buds. :dunno:

Stoner,
I use 1oz of Vaped Material per batch of Cookies. Only I use oil, instead of Butter...because it can get hotter without burning. I double boil the material at 240 for 35 min. Let it cool, strain, and cook with it. They taste awesome, and most people just eat 1 cookie and love it.

Temps vs time is very important. Get a thermometer and monitor it for best results. Also, obviously the darker your vaped material...the weaker it will be. I vape lightly, and cook with it always. Good luck.

Thanks for the info SAE. I'll try an oz. to a stick of butter and see what happens. I always use double boiler setup and lower temps, with good results.

I highly recommend using a thermometer, to keep track of Temps. It is the most important part of getting the most out of any edible IMO

Been making some critical edibles from my vaped bud.

The amount you will use per dose depends on the quality of the starting material, and your tolerance.

I've been using 2 grams of ABV per dose. This is from high end 10/10 level potency herb. Now my tolerance is very high, and I found edibles at this dose to be quite satisfying. People with lower tolerance were absolutely brutalized though, like I heard multiple reports of people tripping balls all night and one guy almost took himself to the hospital! So yea, dosage kinda depends on the person involved.

Agree with slowandeasy about the cooking.. Usually do a simmer for 30-40 min between 200-300 degrees, tho I try to keep it under 275. Candy thermometer will help and they are only a few bucks.

I use canola oil, and use an amount equal to the amount of bud by volume... So if my 48 grams fills up to the 1-cup line in my measuring cup, I will then simmer it in about 1 cup of oil.

You'll end up using extra oil for most recipes (at least at the dosage I prefer,) so I recommend adding an extra egg to brownie or cake recipes.

Also recommend cooking longer at lower temps... If the cupcakes want 20 min at 350, do 30 min at 300, for example.

We do things exactly the same! But I make Cookies and bake at a lower temp. Since the material has been vaped and simmered....the extra heat is not needed. When I simmer I shoot for 230-240 oil temps for 30-40 min. I agree, it takes more oil than needed for recipe...so I add a touch more flour. I like the cookies, because you dont have to bake as long as Brownies.

Everyone that eats them loves them, but I have a very high tolerance...so I eat 2. Works really well. They have an uppity buzz...but some people crash hard afterward.

Vaped bud works great for edibles. You may need to add more spices to cover up the robust burnt popcorn flavor it can provide.

yeah indeed vaped bud works great , i never measure though , just toss in the whole mason jar and one stick of butter heheheh

up to now 3 people have puked and one girl panicked and wnt to emergency cuz she thought she was gonna die

so yeah vaped herb can be quite strong and gives a diff effect then when cooking with fresh herb

i just eat one or 2 pieces and i am good , eating more will cause discomfort , like when you have drunk too much and everything spins

Once stick of butter to a whole Mason Jar? Must be a small mason jar, cause that is not very much butter. Do you filter your material out?

I just did a bho extract of 1oz worth of tan/light brown vaped bud and it gave me about 1-2g of some nice black/amber oil (which actually vaporized well). I added this into some cannabutter for some cookies i was making and they turned out fantastic, none of the nasty taste from the vaped bud but all the extra CBDs/cbgs/etc, which really has a noticeable effect, best combined with fresh herb for a semi equal thc ratio.

Like everybody says it works great. I think there is something to say for cooking it long though. I like to do mine for 3 hours, would do longer but I'm not that patient and I don't have a slow crock cooker so I have to keep adding back water.

Didn't know if vaped bud would work well for making budder......so I saved up a heap.....like almost 3/4 of a lb.
Put it all in a very large crock pot with 4 sticks of butter. What I ended up with was no joke.
Made cookies with approximately 1 stick. Took two cookies one evening. Started on the couch comfortably.....with a quick transition to being seated on the floor.....ending up in a pile on my stomach reeling from the overwhelming....crushing....budder high.

Now I eat a half to one cookie and I'm good.

Vaped budder is insane-o. :)

I personally don't care for the flavor of vaped bud in treats...i can taste it the second it hits my lips. But it works well enough i suppose...

i respectfully disagree slowandeasy. Just a matter of opinion or taste i suppose. I do admit it makes potent yummies though and at the end of the day thats what matters to most folks....:blowbubbles:[/quote
It could be how Well Done you vape your material also? I do not toast mine dark, it is light looking. Some people char their stuff. All I know is it works, and I used to throw that shit out.

I can't stand the taste of cannabutter made with vaped bud either, so I put it into capsules instead of baked goods. Works great, no taste.
