KRUSTY, AGAIN

sorry but i'm still confused. i know this is really basic shit but i don't understand it.

I guess the reason why i am confused here is I thought you were instructing me to use an ac to maintain the temp and fans to input fresh air exhaust old air.

i also thought you said that fans come on twice a minute.

i understand how thermostats and ac units work, but i dont understand how we are using them in tandem to do two things, keep temp right and keep air fresh.

what is wrong with my thinking here?

i just can't figure out how this works so long as there are two intervals of air change per minute. maybe it will make sense once i start messin' with the gear itself. is there a thermostat that is recommended above others for your octogonical vertical coco room?

Bro.....I`m gonna ask yas ta copy Blue Haze`s setup for the first couple runs to get your feet wet on a "flat" surface with bare bulbs hangin .....

The racks take knowledge of pumps and head pressure , along with choke/control valves on each level to control flow/pressure for equal juice dispersion to every plantsite on every level for feed when the timer kicks on.........

As juice heads north , it slows down and that`s where all this comes into play for each plantsite to receive the exact same amount of nutrient solution on a timed basis regardless if it`s on the bottom shelf/rack or the 4th........I ran 1/4" driptubing with basket stakes into my smartpots.....worked well......

I want yas ta rule yer space.........Don`t get stars in your eyes without some grows under yer belt.......I`m here and hopefully others will help as well.........

Peace.......DHF......:ying:.....

i don't know if i can go back to that system now. im already head long into vertical.

I greatly aprreciate all your help.

DM, the problem with your thinking is that it is not your own. You will not understand the balance dynamic until you are in situ. Nor is someone else's custom tuned gig skills gonna just happen for you, you gotta work and learn to earn baby. Good luck, don't get stuck in the plan, the plan just gets you started.

for some reason i can't see your last post haps. it is not appearing on this thread. but i read it in my email box (I have thread updates sent to my email).

you said the problem is the rig aint my thinking and i wont be able to work t because it aint my situation.

ok. that makes sense. but, it will become my situation once i am in that situation. it will become my rig once i run it. meaning, once it is setup and the plantss i have grown are put in there, then it will hopefully start to be custom fit to my situation.

i appreciate you taking the time to present your argument for my benefit. but i think i will be fine.

the way i see it. im growing in coco on racks/shelves instead of flat. it will have an automated watering system that will either be more difficult or more expensive to setup than an automated watering system for a flat garden. in summary, it aint a hugely more difficult system to run than a flat garden.

it makes sense to start small and easy and work my way up to more difficult systems. but there are many reasons why i should start with the vert system instead of a flat system.
the reasons why i should start with the vert now outweigh the reasons for starting flat.
i could write all the reasons but i don't feel that is necessary. just trust me. it makes better sense for me to start vertical. if i crash and burn then so be it.

i won't crash and burn. im working with coco; it is a forgiving medium. i know enough to get the job done. thanks

here is the main reason why i want to grow vert instead of flat: GPW.

i plan to grow OG Kush strains only. I know that if grow them in a vert system i am going to have a much better chance at success in terms of gpw.

all i wanted to know is what gear exactly is used to create the ventilation system. if the fans are pumping in and removing air twice a minute then how can they also be hooked to a thermostat that triggers them when air temp rises to a certain degree? and add the ac to this equation. i just want to know where all these pieces are connected. and what exactly the pieces are. and then the room has to have negative pressure so that stand doesn't leak. so....

also, this vert system aint even as complicated as krusty buckets and it is far safers in terms of crop failure. so im sorry that i have to argue my point, but I dont see what the big deal is here, guys?

lastly, consider this. i researched at all the major systems out there. i was excited about each one until i found the next one that is slightly better, more efficient. after considering each system i finally arrived at the same conclusion that DHF arrived at. Namely, vertical growing, a la heath robinson (with a touch of lazyman and blue haze), is the most efficient system know to man! it is the holy grail system. it is the final destination. so, how can you tell a man who has seen the light to go back and live in darkness?

Man, I ain't on your case, trust me you would know if I was. I agree with doing your homework and planning, both are important. All this stuff has a learning curve, good growers never stop learning, that is why I am here to learn from DHF and others, just like you. Your real learning will start when you do, and your plan will have to change to work once you get strarted. Engage.

h. that looks sweet man, whatever it is, med buckets? sick.

homework and then real world experience. i'm sure my get up is going to change a lot, even in the first run. i am frustrated that i cannot start right now, today. hopefully i will get going soon.

thanks for the support i just hope that DHF knows that I respect him and am appreciate--and I'd like to think that I am humble. but I have to choose what I believe is best for me.

Disciple, i think you have misjudged me. im just a humble guy trying to learn about something that i have a lot of respect for. perhaps you should consider being more humble and respectful yourself.

I have been spending a lot of time on this and I don't need your negative attidude and egotistical ideas fucking up my thread. you really went overboard and said a lot of uneccessary and fairly bizarre things. i would appreciate it if you would remove your post from my thread and leave me alone. I am not open to having dialog with you or anyone who has such negative ideas.

and do yourself a favor: go smoke a joint and chill out man.

^^^^^^Good points!!!!
If I may add:
I'm not anti-commercial growers....the world needs you.....and most people on this site, even the small time guys, still make a few bucks on our beloved plant at the end of the day.
Not once in this thread have I heard anything about QUALITY!!!!!
I understand you wanna max out your gpw because of risk and making it worth while, etc. But If you love weed (and I assume you must just a little because lets face it, there are easier ways to make money) lets do the herb some justice. Learn the shit out of the medium of your choice, learn the shit out of your strain(s), pick a killer one and learn to grow it to its A+ level. In the end you'll hit that max gpw anyway and your stuff will be the best it can be...
A lot of dudes out there just grow some commercial strains to get the weight but they never even dial it in, chop early, move it out half wet, etc......
My 2 cents: Be better than that!!!! You'll still hit your max gpw, and make $ (if thats your thing), but most of all you'll be proud of your shit!!!!!!!!!!
I'm interested in this style of grow for plant numbers, believe me, I have grown seriously awesome OG's, Haze, Sour Diesel, all organic soil handwater under horizontal and actually do better than 1gpw!
(not bragging by any means, just making an example)
Lots of great info in this thread! Haps, mistress, Heath, and DHF, all know there shit big time, I've read there stuff for years. Don't let my post count fool you, I've been on these boards along time.
Its a lot of work but you've got the enthusiasm!!! Play it safe and don't get in over your head.

thanks for posting that beautiful photo on this thread. it needed that.

quality is the top concern that comes before all others. i want to grow the very best conosuer bud. don't we all? i love tha erb.

but i can honestly say that I love the science, the practice, as much as I love the drug. i love the idea of mimicking nature with an artificual and controlled setup. i love that. i love that i can bring all these elements of nature together through the use of machines, electricity, etc., in a room, to create the primo weed. i love that this mimickry involves mother-nature. i love that it is a form of farming. i love that i share a connection with other farmers in my passion for growing. ...and with farmers who grow things non-pot.

i have a huge amount of respect for you and all those who are involved in this practice. i have great respect for DHF for spending so much time teaching me. His actions in doing such, spreading the word, the secrets, show that he loves farming as much as anyone.

Some concepts can definitely be learned through books (and internet forums) and some can only be learned through real world experience. I am very grateful for my education.

That's the right attitude! You're off to the races!
You should do a thread and document your build!

Zen. I will definitely document my build and show. I will probably just continue on this thread though because I think by doing that it will be better for reference. Readers will be able to see my entire progression from Krsuty Buckets to coco vert.

Thanks for your support friend!

im going to fuck off now. im unhappy that dhf is mia. he is probably sick to death of this mofo. hopefully i will get all the right gear and the next time you cats hear from me it will be when i have begun my build and have pictures of deeds. until then, peace.
