Also got an update for today.. some pics uncluding the first signs of a female:dance013:

I've heard somewhere males tend to show their sex earlier than fems, in that case I should be dealing with a couple of males my cab as we speak.. I'll have to take a closer look tomorrow..

The smallest in the party cups are the Icu#2's which are the youngest, only a couple of days old.

so anyway , my plan is to remove the males ASAP so there's more room for the fems, which will be transplanted into bigger pots using the extreme raised transplanting method that has really proven to be sooo successful. :blowbubbles:

Also.. I've noticed they grow almost as much during the 4 hours of darkness as the 20hours of light, Im currently running a 20/4 regime and concidering switching it down to 18/6.. Everyone has different opinions on this but is there some actual proof, like, a side-by-side grow with autos, 18/6 vs 20/4 or even other variations?

Btw.. Playing bladerunner on pc.. i just Downloaded it, its atleast 12yo, reminds me of when i was a kid ..take a look if ur bored,, it's a classic :joint:

Looking good there, congrats on the first female, they are always fun. One thing i would suggest is start on some seeds. either IBL or some crosses. This is something that you wouldnt regret as this will give you seed stock for the future since you geremed all the seeds i would do this to keep back stock. You have your hands on some awesome genetics that you dont want to loose

Nice eyes spotting the femalE!:dance013: Now go look for some males, typically males do show before females, but that is not ALWAYS the case... And as far as light regiment, its all about personal opinion, just like how some people veg 18/6, some 20/4, some even 24 hours of light... The breeder of sour60 actually recommends sour60 be grown under constant light... As far as i know there isnt a thread with comparable data against each duration of lighting hours... BUT a good way to test this would be to grow a full season girl, take clones and grow em out, record the weighs of all, take more clones and do the same thing but under a diff light spectrum, make sure to feed and everything the same... Personally i would like to see the results!

Here for the ride as I too have the very exact same strains...and even though you said this is a test grow, you SHOULD breed each strain to carry on the genetics....JMO.....Peace & weed...

Thx, what are you reffering to with IBL? I'd like to pollinate a couple of bud sites but im not sure how it will be done.. I only have 1cab to grow in atm, I've seen it being done with plastic bags over the pollinated bud sites. but i need some more info on it, cause id like to be sure before i mess things up..:whee: any tips? :tiphat:

Yeah I guess it's a strain to strain issue, and this might be something we could put our minds into and do in the future, would be cool to have some solid evidence, also see the differences as u said... I guess I'll stick to my 20/4.. mainly cause i dont wanna mess things up, :smoky:

Good piece of advice,,, still trying to figure out how to do this in 1cab, regarding i want bud mainly. Sinsemilla.. just to pollinate a bud site here and there. :thank you: btw... I took a look at your grow threads theyre fucking awesome man

Thanks, I appreciate that! You will learn a lot on this forum...just keep reading and reading and dont be afraid to use the search button<it does wonders when you cant get an answer to a question.....as far as the pollinating...all u need to keep a male plant alive is 1 of your CFL's...remove the best male plant and put that with a small fan<for air circulation on a closet shelf or sumthin...he will start to drop pollen around wk 3-4...when that happens jus shake pollen on a small mirror or glass..scrape up with a razor blade,(separating the flower pods) and let it air dry @ room temp and put it in a lil' glass jar<from an arts & crafts store or a baggie with some rice<acts as a decassant and put it in the fridge...when females are ready..(around wk 4-5/showin a lot of pistils) take a q-tip or a lil' artise paint brush a "carefully" brush pollen<[WITH FANS OFF] on lower budsites where you want seeds...LET IT SIT FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS! and if you want you can repeat process to make sure busdites are hit well....then spray/saturate entire plant and pots they are in with ph'd water...<this will kill all remaining pollen laying around..then turn fans back on...pistils will turn orange/brown...<sign that pollen has took! now you wait...in 2wks you will see calix's start to swell...seeds are forming...2 more wks seeds are ready..they will start to split open the pods and you will see brown to dark brown seeds with stripes.......whew! hope this helps.....i'm sur someone else will chime in.... one love!
