What strains are the most LEMON tasting and smelling? Just pure lemon!

i belive that DR JAY is quated as say trainwreck is something like a dead whale dipped in lemon gasoline ! and i could not agree more ! i belive that the right pheno, done right,cant beEt

I used to grow TW (E-32/"Arcata Cut") for years and I don't ever recall it smelling like a dead whale dipped in lemon gasoline. Intense "piney-lemony" maybe, but dead whale....I don't think so.
I want to see more Orange tasteing bud. Lemon is evrywhere.

I'm not trippin', smells are subjective. I don't get the dead whale description, I mean when was the last time you smelt the flesh of a rotting dead whale carcass?
I first smoked TW back in 93, and it was awesome. When I got the chance to grow her, which I did for several cycles, I built up a tolerance to her. In retrospect, TW looks good, smells good, tastes good, and the effects are decent. It's just that if you're accustomed to potent herb, TW will fizzle out as you build a tolerance to her.
I'm glad that TW is still enjoyed by some, because I do have quite a few stony memories of her.
i completely get the dead whale thing! the description should say dead whale meat...just gets a lil more emphasis on that rotten stank underneath that lemony goodness that alllllllmost covered it up! haha..

The Dynamite X Princess Diesel cross I had was pure sour lemon candy all thru flower and curing smelt like a lemon candy store. The high was strong and hit you right between the eyes then melted down throughout your body, very good for pain relief and picked me up out of despair and made me see the world thru rose coloured glasses

I have about 7 GH Trainwrecks growing atm, their about 4 weeks into flower and their starting to smell a bit. I only got a shit portable deodorizer going I hope they dont stink up the place like the ones your talking about.
Ill keep posting if I get a lemon smelly.

I've managed to speak to someone from Hortifarm about this and guess what...surprise surprise - it's not true.
Reef did give someone @ Hortifarm LP seeds but "...they really haven't done anything with them...".
Hortifarm has the largest cannabis germplasm collection on the planet- I doubt they "need" anything.... they have a more complete collection of cannabis germplasm than anyone.
Mosca, coincidentally, has removed this quote from the description.
It's funny how some people are so wiling to take anything they read on the internet at face value and spread it around as fact, without checking the authenticity of what they read. Some have more of a problem with this than others.

I think reef spun it but I wouldn't cross it off the list because of that, I have smoked love potion and I really enjoyed it.
Maybe considering the potential legalities involved in them getting the seeds or cuts from him nobody will really know what happened between those two parties and frankly my dear I don't give damn.
Still a good strain.

Has anyone found that the more lemony tasting/smelling lines to be more subjectively 'uppy?'
It seems to me that even the lemony LUI's were less sedative in effect. Maybe it's just my brain relating the lemon smells with the many experiences I have with lemony sativas. I think plenty of the more racey indoor modern sativa hybrids have alot of lemon in flavor and smell....Wish there was more research on this sort of issue... Where's a skunkman at when you need one?

I 120% completely agree with this statement.
it may just be a coincident but i to have the same experience the lemon tasteing weed ive grown was very upp as well as the stuff ive had from others too

For what it's worth...
I have consumed pure d-limonene up to 2gr. orally and noticed no mood altering effects whatsoever.
I added pure d-limonene to marijuana and smoked it. The high didn't feel any different.
Maybe the effects are very subtle or need other stimuli to unfold, but for me it does nothing but tastes nicely of oranges or I'm an instrument too blunt to notice the diffference.
If you wanna try, I can recommend Jarrow Formulas d-Limonene.
I was under the impression that the terpenes Citral, Geranial, Neral, Lemonal are responsible for lemony smell in cannabis and not limonene that was mentioned in some post before this. Did not do experiements with those.
