Hey thanks for posting the scans from that catologue! Thats a real blast from the past! :)

the old SSSC strains seem to be big, stocky yielders with heavy potency. most popular around is m39 i think. basic5/skunk#1 hybrid, aka shiva skunk, aka beasters ...

I was about 16 when i came into possession of that catologue ... but being that age and living in the uk it was a mystery as to how i would actually go about ordering any seeds from them. :) I didn't actually buy my first seeds until i was 25 when i visited Amsterdam.

If i remember correctly there were other old gems like Haleys comet, Big bud and Williams Wonder in there too.

Oh i smoked some shiva skunk once (probably from sensi seeds though) ... i remember it well as it was about a half hour before a doctors appointment. ... i was sitting in the waiting room nearly passing out! LOL Very nice taste!

the winter indoor...

the winter indoor...

i like taking my clones from my outdoor when possible. the plant has been cloned indoor by me since 1992, so i like to take her out for a breath of fresh air !!

i didnt bring any cloning materials, so things got rough. i tore the "cuttings" off with my bare hands...so maybe they are "tearings" not cuttings !! i put them in a napkin with some dirt and shoved them in my pocket...betcha they'll be fine, i got no problems rooting clones luckily.

get out your grinder, the buds have the consistency of wood, say oak. light it and it grows from the pipe and its a fuckin lung buster with a deep hashy taste. theres tastier smelly weeds than this, and theres weaker ones too, like most of them. this old creepers nobodies bitch !!

Whoa dude, I just found this thread, what a great grow,I think I slept with that catalog under my pillow for a few years!!! I never knew you were holding a cool cut like this, what a load of fun, they look great outdoors....we had M-31(Williams Wonder) and Friesland indica in Colorado and man what great plants we grew, those were "the days".That M-31 used to finish around Oct 10th if the frost didn't come and the Friesland around the 1st, we ran the WW for a few years and lost the cut eventually but we had some seeds and pushed the lines into the late 90's.Seems like so many of us started out with those catalogs and are still around to tell about it.....nice work!!:)

From everything I've seen and read, the old seedbank strains were very sturdy plants, with high potency and yield. They were not fruity or sweet and I believe that they closer to the landrace genetics ...

pulled off a lot of big leaves today to let in some more air and light. the buds are very dense and rock hard !! many outdoor growers use a more open bud structure, but these tightly wound buds havent rotted or molded on me yet !! resin power !!
